Maitreya Buddha said, "Great Roc is currently with the Carefree Great Emperor. Should we summon him back immediately?"
"Summon him back at once. There is no need to hide it from the Carefree Great Emperor either. Letting him know what Great Roc intends to do would be a good thing as well," Tathagata said calmly.
Maitreya Buddha nodded.
"Anything else?" Tathagata looked at Maitreya Buddha, who stood nearby.
Maitreya Buddha said, "Buddha, when will that monkey make his move?"
Tathagata said, "Soon. Subhuti should be expelling him from the sect before long."
Maitreya Buddha said, "However, news has recently come from the Heavenly Court that the Jade Emperor sent the Barefoot Immortal to contact Uchiha Shin, the monkey, and Yang Jian. If those people join forces, they will surely turn the Three Realms upside down. With their support, the Jade Emperor will become a considerable force in the future."
Tathagata merely smiled faintly, unconcerned. "Rest assured. Though the Jade Emperor is quite capable, he is not truly the master of the Heavenly Court in the end. There is no need to worry about his power."
Maitreya Buddha nodded and withdrew.
Tathagata closed his eyes. After a while, he opened them again. He seemed unable to enter meditation now.
He rose and paced back and forth through his garden, occasionally lifting his head to look at the sky.
