Goku had no complaints whatsoever about following Uchiha Shin to deal with these Evil Spirits and the demons from before. He simply did not want to be used by others.
"Right now, Lord Lao and Tathagata are fighting each other in the Three Realms, and they're using us in the process. I've never understood why we have to let them use us," Goku continued.
Uchiha Shin smiled. "I know we're being used by them too. But if we want to survive in these Three Realms, this is the only way."
Goku did not understand.
Uchiha Shin said, "Those who are useless end up dead. We're still weak right now, and being used by them can sometimes be a good thing. At the very least, they won't dare kill the two of us for now."
Goku frowned but said nothing.
Uchiha Shin continued, "I'm doing this, first, because I'm willing to. Second, because I want to take this opportunity to learn more about the Three Realms. Third, because I want to make more friends. The more friends we have, the fewer enemies we'll have."
"Think about it. Since leaving Slanting Moon Three Stars Cave, we've made quite a few friends. That's a good thing for us."
Goku very much agreed with that.
The two of them had met many good friends, which truly was something to be happy about.
"Do you know that there's something called fortune in the Three Realms?" Uchiha Shin asked.
"I've heard of it."
Uchiha Shin said, "If we can control fortune, it will definitely benefit our cultivation. At the same time, it will make them less willing to act against us recklessly."
"Because if you control enough fortune, killing us would have a tremendous impact on both the Three Realms and themselves."
Goku nodded, half understanding
