"If you have something to say, then say it," Lord Lao said blandly.
Kinkaku said, "Master, I don't think you need to worry so much. Follow what you truly feel in your heart. Do whatever you want to do. No matter how dangerous it is, you need not worry. Just follow your heart. No matter what happens, your disciple will stand by your side."
"So you mean Master should give up everything and act according to the deepest desires of his heart?" Lord Lao looked at Kinkaku.
Kinkaku nodded.
Lord Lao smiled again. "You don't understand. Master wants to do that too, but it isn't easy. And I cannot do so either."
Kinkaku said no more. He should not have said such things in the first place, since they would only make his master worry.
Wuxin came to the Heavenly Court from the lower realm and reported what had happened below to the Jade Emperor.
"You had a conflict with people from Mind Platform Square-Inch Mountain?" The Jade Emperor was rather surprised.
"Bodhi, the Patriarch of Mind Platform Square-Inch Mountain, is an ancient great god. Even Lord Lao must show him considerable courtesy when he sees him. We cannot afford to provoke him. Even if we truly reach the realm of sages, we must still treat him with some respect!"
Wuxin had intended to have the Jade Emperor send troops against the people of Mind Platform Square-Inch Mountain, but hearing this left him deeply shaken. He had not expected Bodhi's influence to be so great.
