Shopkeeper Yang's appearance was something many people in the Three Realms had never expected. After all, Shopkeeper Yang had died back then. Even if remnants of his soul had remained, no one had known about it.
Some people had long anticipated Eastern Emperor Taiyi's resurrection, so it was nowhere near as unexpected as Shopkeeper Yang's appearance. Even Lord Lao had not foreseen it.
This was what Tathagata had prepared to deal with Lord Lao. Now, he felt that it could affect not only Lord Lao, but himself as well.
"Honored One, the battle at Kunlun Mountain has already begun. Should we make some preparations?" Maitreya Buddha stepped forward and asked.
"Not for now. Lord Lao will be more anxious than we are. If he does not make a move, neither will we," Tathagata said indifferently.
Maitreya Buddha nodded and said nothing more.
At Kunlun Mountain, Tongtian Cult Leader and Shopkeeper Yang had fought for a long time, yet neither could gain the upper hand. However, they had already destroyed much of their surroundings.
Tongtian Cult Leader found an opening and instantly retreated, widening the distance between himself and Shopkeeper Yang as he withdrew his magical power.
"Little Junior Brother..."
"Call me Shopkeeper Yang!" Shopkeeper Yang cut Tongtian Cult Leader off directly.
"Shopkeeper Yang, even if the two of us keep fighting like this, we will not be able to determine a victor. Let us stop here," Tongtian Cult Leader said.
Shopkeeper Yang looked at Tongtian Cult Leader, then shifted his gaze toward Yuanshi Tianzun.
"Yuanshi Tianzun, do you dare fight me?" Shopkeeper Yang stared at Yuanshi Tianzun and asked.
Yuanshi Tianzun walked over with a smile. "Shopkeeper Yang, you have just fought Tongtian, and your energy has been greatly depleted. If you want to fight, wait a little longer."
He
