After hearing Tathagata Buddha's words, Ananda and Kasyapa walked over.
Ananda Venerable said, "Tathagata World-Honored One, what we need to face now is the wind outside. If the wind within rises, it should be suppressed."
Kasyapa Venerable said, "I believe the Tathagata World-Honored One should communicate more with the people of Spirit Mountain's Buddhist Sect and strengthen everyone's resolve. That way, the wind within us will rise later."
Tathagata Buddha stood there, quietly listening to the two of them as he considered a response.
Ananda Venerable wanted to suppress the wind immediately, while Kasyapa Venerable wanted to use gentler means to stabilize Fengxian.
Tathagata Buddha raised his head to look at the sky, then turned to Ananda and Kasyapa. "The wind within our Buddhist Sect has only just begun to stir and will have little effect. You two merely need to keep a close watch on it. So long as there is no major impact, do not act rashly."
"We obey the Tathagata World-Honored One." After speaking, the two returned to where they had been standing and remained motionless.
Not long afterward, Maitreya Buddha arrived at the mountaintop.
"Maitreya Venerable, what is the matter?"
"Tathagata Venerable, Great Roc still wishes to leave Spirit Mountain. He wanted to use my disciple Yellow Brow to leave Spirit Mountain, but my disciple talked him out of it. He has now gone back," Maitreya Buddha said.
Tathagata Buddha nodded. "Yellow Brow did very well. Unlike certain others in the Buddhist Sect, who incited and encouraged Great Roc to leave Spirit Mountain. Tomorrow, reward Yellow Brow generously."
Maitreya Buddha looked at Tathagata Buddha, then nodded as well. "Yes."
