Upon hearing this, Maitreya Buddha was slightly taken aback, but then he understood something.
Nodding, Maitreya Buddha followed Tongtian Cult Leader to Zhenyuan Daxian's Five Manor Temple.
Yuanshi Tianzun and Taishang Laojun were also seated beside Zhenyuan Daxian.
After exchanging a few words, the group got down to business.
"We invited Maitreya Venerable here this time because we want you to ask Tathagata Buddha for help and eliminate Goku. If Goku is allowed to continue, it will become a great calamity for our Three Realms," Taishang Laojun said with a smile.
Maitreya Buddha said, "It is only right that we do so. We are also members of the Three Realms. Now that the Three Realms are in trouble, our Buddhist Sect naturally cannot stand idly by."
"Then when will Tathagata Buddha make his move?" Zhenyuan Daxian asked.
Maitreya Buddha thought for a moment. "I am not too sure about that."
Zhenyuan Daxian and Taishang Laojun exchanged glances, both with doubt in their eyes.
"How about this? We will send someone back to Spirit Mountain with Maitreya Venerable to request help from the Buddha. What do you think?" Taishang Laojun asked with a smile.
Maitreya Buddha smiled and nodded. Naturally, he agreed to it.
If he returned alone this time, Tathagata Buddha would certainly reprimand him. But if he brought one of their people back with him, perhaps he could avoid it.
"Tongtian, accompany Maitreya Venerable," Taishang Laojun said calmly.
"Yes, Senior Brother."
Tongtian Cult Leader followed Maitreya Buddha out of Five Manor Temple.
After they left, Taishang Laojun and the others all shook their heads.
"After Goku left the Earth Bodhisattva, it had originally been the best time for Tathagata Buddha to attack. Yet he did not. He was clearly just stalling for time," Zhenyuan Daxian said.
