Uchiha Shin's calm smile caught Yuanshi Tianzun off guard, making him feel somewhat embarrassed.
Uchiha Shin had merely tossed a few casual remarks his way, yet he had become this furious. He was one of the Dao Sect's Three Pure Ones, a man of great cultivation. How could he get angry?
Even if he truly was angry, he had to keep it buried in his heart, never letting joy or anger show on his face.
"Yuanshi Tianzun, I merely spoke a few truths, yet you became so angry. It seems you've held a high position for too long and heard too many flattering words. Now, you can no longer bear to hear anything unpleasant," Uchiha Shin said with another smile.
Maitreya Buddha tugged at Yuanshi Tianzun's sleeve, and Yuanshi Tianzun sat back down.
Looking at Yuanshi Tianzun, Uchiha Shin continued, "Everything I just told you was the truth. The things you said about the demons were matters of the past. The demons have changed greatly now. Though some still enjoy eating humans and their own kind, they are only a minority. Most demons are no different from humans and Heavenly Gods. They cultivate through their own techniques, absorbing spiritual energy and increasing their strength.
"Demons like these have already changed tremendously. If you still insist on acting against them, it will lead to unrest and even cause the demons to regress. They will think, 'If cultivating just like Dao cultivators still gets us killed, then why not eat humans and keep cultivating that way? Wouldn't that be better?'"
Maitreya Buddha said, "What Mystic Spirit King says does make some sense. When I was in the mortal realm before, I did encounter some demons, and they truly were somewhat different from before.
