Uchiha Shin examined the enormous axe. Though he could not see what it looked like, he could sense that it was incredibly heavy and that its power should be formidable. It was definitely no ordinary weapon.
As he felt around the axe, Uchiha Shin saw a flicker of light ahead. Though the light was faint, it seemed exceptionally dazzling amid the darkness.
Uchiha Shin smiled and quickly headed toward the light.
The light appeared close by, yet Uchiha Shin walked for quite some time without getting any nearer. He was rather surprised. Just how far away was it?
He instinctively wanted to fly forward, but he no longer had any power and could not fly.
Thus, he could only keep walking forward. He had no idea how long he walked before finally reaching the source of the light.
The light came from an oil lamp, like one found in an ordinary household. Its flame swayed from time to time as though a breeze were blowing, yet there was no wind at all in this dark place.
Uchiha Shin slowly crouched down and stared closely at the lamp, curiosity in his eyes.
It was indeed strange that he had come to this dark place. There was an unknown axe, and now there was this peculiar lamp.
Uchiha Shin extended his right hand, intending to pick up the lamp. But the moment his hand touched it, he swiftly pulled it back. It was not that the lamp had some powerful force resisting him; rather, the instant he touched it, an odd feeling arose in his heart, making him unable to resist withdrawing his hand.
It was as though he deeply did not want to touch the lamp.
Uchiha Shin remained crouched beside it and continued observing it closely. The lamp looked utterly
