Taishang Laojun stood not far away, listening to the two children talk. Hearing Kinkaku's words, he felt somewhat moved.
Kinkaku really was a filial child.
Taishang Laojun looked at Red Boy again. This child was quite good as well; his temperament was every bit as fine as Kinkaku's.
Stroking his beard, Taishang Laojun sized Red Boy up once more. Red Boy truly possessed extraordinary talent. He really wanted to take Red Boy as his disciple and teach him his most powerful fire arts.
"What is your master called? If I get the chance, I could go meet him too." After hearing Kinkaku's description, Red Boy was quite curious.
Kinkaku paused. "My master's name cannot be spoken casually unless my master permits it."
"Alright, then when you see your master again, give him my regards."
"Mhm."
After talking for a while, the two headed toward Plantain Cave.
That night, Kinkaku was eating. Before Ox-King and the others, he still maintained the form of Red Fox rather than returning to human form, as he did not want Ox-King and the others to see him.
All of a sudden, Kinkaku felt a sensation in his heart. Someone outside was calling for him.
A smile immediately appeared on Kinkaku's lips. Who else could make contact with him in such a way besides his master?
Kinkaku hurried out of Plantain Cave and, once outside, saw his master.
"Greetings, Master. Master, you finally came!" Kinkaku said joyfully.
"How is your recovery now?" Taishang Laojun asked.
"I have fully recovered. But it is not so easy for me to return to the Heavenly Court now, which is why I wanted to ask for your help," Kinkaku said.
"Mhm. Your immortal aura has vanished, so it truly is difficult for you to return to the Heavenly Court."
