Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva sat to one side, listening to the people around him, and merely smiled faintly.
"Within the Underworld, we indeed will not face any great threats. But our Underworld is also part of the Three Realms. If we become enemies with those of the Three Realms and oppose them now, then in the end, our Underworld will only become isolated. If they cut off our Underworld's connection with the outside world, that would not be a good thing for us," Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said.
"Our Underworld is the place all living beings come to after death, the place where all living beings reincarnate. The Six Paths of Reincarnation are here as well. Even if they want to suppress and isolate us, it won't be so easy, will it?"
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said, "Under normal circumstances, it truly would not be easy. But if they devote themselves wholeheartedly to dealing with us, they would have every chance of creating another Underworld and reconstructing the Six Paths of Reincarnation. At that point, our Underworld would still find it difficult to contend against them.
"This is not even the crucial point. The most crucial point is that once such a thing happens, the entire Three Realms will suffer enormous upheaval. The Underworld is an important link in the Three Realms. If it is damaged, the mortal world will be filled with ghosts and monsters. There will only be endless death, with no new life being born. That is the most terrifying thing."
