The next day, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva led King Qin Luo and several Underworld disciples toward Spirit Mountain.
Uchiha Shin followed among them as well.
Over at Spirit Mountain, Tathagata Buddha was cultivating atop the mountain when a subordinate suddenly reported that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had arrived.
This surprised Tathagata Buddha somewhat. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had only left Spirit Mountain a few days ago, so why had he suddenly returned?
Although Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had attended the Buddhist Sect's grand ceremony this time, that had only been because of the event. Under normal circumstances, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would not come to Spirit Mountain, given the rift between them.
Though Tathagata Buddha was surprised, he said nothing more and simply had Maitreya Buddha receive Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. He did not wish to show himself and needed to continue cultivating.
Maitreya Buddha went to receive Ksitigarbha, but Ksitigarbha insisted on seeing Tathagata Buddha, claiming that he had an important matter to announce.
"Maitreya Venerable, this time, not only do I need Tathagata Venerable to come, I also need everyone from the Buddhist Sect to gather at Thunderclap Monastery," Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said to Maitreya Buddha.
"Ksitigarbha, what are you planning?" Maitreya Buddha asked in confusion.
Ksitigarbha said, "You will naturally know when the time comes. I hope you can hurry and make the arrangements."
Maitreya Buddha looked at Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Though he did not understand, he still did as requested.
After all, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was his senior. He could not do anything to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, much less order him around.
Moreover, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva had arrived at Spirit Mountain in a very high-profile manner this time, and many disciples within Spirit Mountain had learned of it.
There was no way to keep it hidden even if they wanted to.
