The two of them skinned the tiger. After drying the hide, Xuanzang set about making clothes.
Xuanzang was quite skilled at it. He was dexterous and clever, learned such things quickly, and had been the best at making clothes back at Gold Mountain Temple.
Many of his fellow senior and junior disciples liked having Xuanzang make clothes for them, because his garments were both handsome and well-fitted.
"Come, Goku, put it on and see how it fits." After working all night, Xuanzang had finally finished.
Goku tried it on, and it really did fit perfectly.
"Xuanzang, you really are good at this. If we can't beg for food on the road to Western Heaven, you can make clothes for people. Then we can trade them for meals," Goku said jokingly.
"That's a fine suggestion. Begging all over the place does feel a little like getting something for nothing. It isn't right to casually eat other people's food. We'll do as you say. From now on, whenever we beg for alms, we'll make a piece of clothing for them as payment," Xuanzang said seriously.
Goku glanced at him and no longer wanted to speak. He had not expected Xuanzang to take it so seriously.
After resting in the mountains for a day, the two of them slowly departed.
Once they had left the mountains, a woman appeared on the path ahead, watching the two of them.
"Ah! Goku, look, there's a female benefactor blocking our path. Do you think she might be a demon?" Xuanzang stared curiously at the woman ahead, without the slightest fear.
The woman wore peach-blossom-colored clothes and had a face as lovely as a peach blossom. She was quite beautiful.
