Goku and Xuanzang traveled west together.
Along the westward journey, Xuanzang was always chatting with Goku and asking all sorts of questions. He was curious about many things, but Goku did not want to say much.
Now that he had emerged from Five Elements Mountain, all he wanted was to fly freely through the skies and enjoy the feeling of freedom.
He found Xuanzang terribly talkative and sometimes truly wanted to seal his mouth shut.
Of course, he had indeed done so, but he could not keep doing it forever.
He found that the moment he lifted the seal, Xuanzang would start talking nonstop. Sometimes, Xuanzang was still talking even when it was time to sleep.
This left Goku both helpless and annoyed.
"Goku, what do you think about the proposal I mentioned before?" Xuanzang asked, riding atop a white horse and looking at Goku flying in the air.
"What proposal?" Goku looked over.
"The matter I mentioned before—having you teach me some magic. We still have a long way to go before reaching Western Heaven, and it will take a long time. Why not teach me some magic? Perhaps by the time I reach Spirit Mountain, I'll have become an expert. Besides, if you teach me magic, then when we encounter demons along the way, I'll be able to handle them and ease some of your burden." Xuanzang smiled at Goku.
"Give me a break. You think you can become an expert during the time it takes to get from here to Western Heaven? Cultivation isn't something you can master just because you feel like it. If it were that easy, every living being in the Three Realms would cultivate.
"And when we run into demons on this westward journey, I don't need you to share my burden. Back
