Crow's Nest Zen Master smiled. "Xuanzang, you should understand that the path you have chosen is not a smooth one. Merely seeking the true scriptures is already extremely dangerous, let alone your intention to forge a different path. That naturally makes it even more perilous.
"However dangerous the road may be, it must be walked step by step. As for what your path will become in the future, you should not ask me. You should ask your own heart. If you believe the road is smooth, then press forward without hesitation. If you believe it is perilous, then difficulties will surely arise one after another. No matter what, you must hold fast to your heart. As long as the heart remains, hope remains."
After hearing this, Xuanzang could not help nodding. Crow's Nest Zen Master made perfect sense.
"Thank you for your guidance, Crow's Nest Zen Master. This humble monk understands."
A smile returned to Xuanzang's face, and his eyes shone with confidence.
