"You really did take out all three Jonin?" Uchiha Madara quickly asked, taking advantage of this brief pause. He was naturally willing to believe Shin, but the result was just too shocking.
"We'll talk about that later. First, let's take care of the Hyuga Elite Jonin. You take the lead." Shin's Three Tomoe Sharingan flicked toward their opponent, who was already charging at them.
"You're using me as a shield again!" Uchiha Madara snarled. Don't think taking the lead was a good job. He'd figured it out long ago: fighting alongside Uchiha Shin, taking the lead was basically the same as going up there to get beaten.
"Quit whining. He's coming!" Shin snapped. His hands flashed, sending kunai and shuriken flying like a torrential downpour.
Hyuga Mingfeng activated his Byakugan and spun his long blade into a curtain of steel, knocking every shuriken aside. In an instant, he was in front of the two of them. "Void Slash!" A powerful chakra slash erupted, engulfing them both.
"I'll leave him to you." As Shin spoke, he flashed away, vanishing to who knew where.
Uchiha Madara swallowed the curse he'd been about to spit out, because the attack was already upon him. His expression turned stern, and he charged straight into it without dodging.
Their powerful chakra clashed as the two fought in a flurry of blows. Uchiha Madara knew that if he tried to fight with Taijutsu by conventional means, he probably wouldn't last even a minute. He was ruthless, abandoning all defense and trading wounds: if the other man slashed at his chest, he'd stab at his neck. Neither of them was going to back down.
With that approach, Uchiha Madara quickly accumulated wounds, but he managed to hold his ground against his opponent for a short while.
