"I am not very familiar with the new King Yama. Although the Underworld is a rather cold and terrifying place, it is still quite good. It is the transit station between life and death," Tathagata Buddha said as he stood there.
Tathagata Buddha had indeed known the former King Yama, but he knew nothing about this newly appointed one.
"Venerable Tathagata, then go to the Underworld now. Once you get there, King Yama will keep watch over you. You must reflect on yourself properly in the Underworld and spend more time with the departed souls. If possible, it would be best for you to visit hell more often and witness the suffering there. Then you will realize just how fortunate you are to be alive," Uchiha Shin said to Tathagata Buddha.
The reason for sending Tathagata Buddha to the Underworld was, first, because King Yama and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva would watch over him. Within the Underworld, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was the strongest, and Tathagata Buddha had no real means of resisting.
Second, they wanted Tathagata Buddha to witness the suffering there and see the transit station between life and death. Perhaps it would bring him some enlightenment, or perhaps it might make him lean toward Mahayana Buddhism.
Although he knew the chances of the latter succeeding were very small, they still had to try. What if there was a chance?
Tathagata Buddha nodded slightly. He had not wanted to go to the Underworld in the first place, but compared to Buddha Eye Valley, he would much rather go to the Underworld.
"King Yama." Uchiha Shin looked toward King Yama behind him.
"Rest assured, Mystic Spirit King. Our Underworld is willing to take in Venerable Tathagata," King Yama said.
Uchiha Shin then handed down punishments to the others as well.
