The two of them walked up to him, one on each side. Madara spoke first. "Yo, long time no see."
Shin stood to the side, pursing his lips. That kind of greeting was so lame. They should just rush up and kick him into the river. Now that would be the right way to say hello.
"Uh... your name is..." Madara asked hesitantly.
"Hashirama," Senju Hashirama replied glumly. It was obvious he was in a terrible mood today.
"What's wrong? You showed up looking down in the dumps. Did something happen?"
"Why are you asking? I'm fine," Senju Hashirama said, his voice unmistakably choked with tears.
"Who are you trying to fool? Why not tell the two of us?"
"It's nothing."
"Come on, tell us."
"No, really, it's nothing."
Madara was about to comfort him, but Shin held him back. Watching the two of them interact was pretty amusing, but they were being so long-winded. Who knew how long they'd go on? Better to let him handle it.
Madara glanced at Shin in confusion. When Shin waved for him to step back, Madara was puzzled, but still obediently took a few steps away.
Shin grinned and said loudly, "You're a man, right? If something's bothering you, just say it. Don't be so fussy, like some woman. Come on, if you're feeling down, I'll fight you. You'll feel better afterward."
Shin was already moving as he spoke. Chakra gathered in his foot, and he stomped toward Hashirama. With a crash, rubble flew everywhere along the riverbank. Hashirama dodged at the last possible moment, his face gone pale with fright. "Holy shit, you were trying to kill me, weren't you? You were definitely trying to kill me!"
Shin rolled his shoulders and, without wasting words, went straight for Hashirama's face with a
