Heading to the Moon

In the Land of Fire, beneath a mountain peak, inside a spacious underground cavern, a figure sat quietly on a carved stone chair, eyes closed and silent.

The cavern was vast and over a hundred meters below ground. It did not appear to have formed naturally, and aside from the person seated on the stone chair, there was no trace of any living creature.

The entire space was silent. Only droplets constantly falling from the stalactites in the distance made faint sounds.

After an unknown amount of time, the man seated on the stone chair suddenly opened his eyes. Three tomoe slowly spun within them as he looked toward a distant spot.

That was the entrance to the cave. The passage had been sealed with a massive boulder, but now a soft rumbling suddenly sounded from it.

The boulder was slowly pushed aside, and a figure walked in.

"Ah, Madara, you usually live in a damn place like this? Not only is it pitch-black, it's desolate as hell. If it were me, I'd go crazy from being cooped up here for one day."

The moment he entered, Shin grinned and complained. Still, he was not wrong. A hundred meters underground really was dark beyond belief.

"I'm the only one here. What would be the point of making it bright? To the Sharingan, it all looks the same anyway. Besides, once your heart is calm, you won't find it boring."

Uchiha Madara straightened in his stone chair and said evenly, "Speak. With your personality, you wouldn't come running here for no reason."

Shin shrugged and casually leaped onto a naturally formed stone platform. "There is something. Tomorrow is the full moon. I found out how to get to the moon. Want to come?"
