Mirai ran toward a burning pavilion. The exhibition area should have contained all kinds of weapons, but most of them were made of wood. The weapons were being consumed by the flames.
Xiu Yin had originally wanted to find a weapon for self-defense here as well. After all, during the earlier Blunt Formation game, he had cast five fireballs in a row. With only Level Two mental power, Xiu Yin's soul power was already depleted.

Mirai hunched over in the thick smoke and moved into another nearby pavilion. It too was on fire, but his luck was not bad. He found a dagger somewhere the flames had not yet reached. It had likely been flung there when the weapon rack in the pavilion collapsed.
With a weapon in hand, Mirai felt more confident. However, when he surveyed the entire arena again, he noticed something wrong.
"All the pavilions storing weapons are on fire..." Mirai did not think this was a coincidence. "Someone is very familiar with the intelligence inside the Marquis's castle. That means... there's a spy!"
The word spy was hardly unfamiliar in Toon's original world, especially during peacetime.
Looking again at the castle's outer walls, Mirai felt that although he had no proof for his guess, the fact that those assassins had been able to climb the walls so easily meant his suspicion was not without basis.
