Under the cover of night, Xiao Mei hid in the shadows beneath the outer wall of a two-story building.
The little building was heavily guarded, with mercenaries stationed at every entrance. Getting past them was harder than climbing to the heavens.
Xiao Mei bit her lower lip and thought for a moment before making up her mind. She gently tossed the Budding Robot forward, and it spun as it flew out.
It slowly came to a stop beside the building. In an instant, wind and ice erupted everywhere with terrifying force. Even the entire wall was coated in glittering frost.
Seeing that the time was right, Xiao Mei hurried toward the building's side entrance.
Outside the side entrance, two gleaming mercenaries stood tall and straight, bravely staring ahead.
Xiao Mei ran over curiously and waved a hand before one mercenary's face. Satisfied, she pulled open the side door.
As soon as she opened it, a blue mercenary stood at the entrance. Xiao Mei took a step back, nearly freezing into ice.
The person in front of him reached out and opened the door. He did not move. It seemed that he had just been eroded by the surrounding temperature and had already become hard...
"What's going on?" A mercenary at the other end of the corridor saw the side door open and his companion standing motionlessly there.
Xiao Mei froze for a moment, then hurriedly hid behind the door, not daring to make a sound.
The mercenary frowned and ran toward the doorway. No matter how he called out, silence was his only answer.
As the footsteps drew closer, the mercenary slowed down, moving ever more cautiously.
