"Mirai, watch out!" Faced with danger, Duodelunchang attentively warned Mirai. Instead of advancing, he retreated. His sharp sword slashed into strange chains. Yet Musashi Duodelunchang's all-purpose swordsmanship hit a wall once more. The chains were abnormally hard. The symbols inscribed upon them neutralized Duodelunchang's sharp cuts as they continued rushing toward him.
Duodelunchang had run into this wall in Dark 1, so he was not surprised by the result of this attack. Planning to flee before they struck, he escaped the encirclement before the seven chains could surround him.
"Mirai, run!" Duodelunchang shouted, fleeing out of the cave first.
When the chains appeared that morning, Mirai had been startled by their speed. Knowing that remaining inside the cave was unwise, he had immediately moved toward the cave entrance. At Duodelunchang's warning, he ran without hesitation.
"Earth Style—Earth-Piercing Wall Technique!" Mirai swiftly escaped the cave while erecting a rock wall behind him. He wanted to see whether the chains would lose their target once the rock wall blocked the demon's line of sight.
"Puff! Puff!" he said.
A rumble came from behind him. Mirai knew the rock wall had pierced into the fragile cave, yet through his eyes, he saw that the chains were completely unaffected by the blocked line of sight. Like maggots clinging to bone, they haunted him from behind.
"So advanced—does it have automatic tracking?" Mirai's heart tightened as he gritted his teeth and charged out of the cave.
"Too late?" The chains were too fast. They quickly caught up behind Mirai, one aimed at his feet and another at his waist.
"Mirai!" Duodelunchang looked at Mirai as the chains caught up to him. His eyes widened, and he cried out anxiously.
"Whirlpool Instant Body Technique!"
