In the mountains, Yizi tightly gripped Ida with one hand. Ignoring Ida's postcard, she pulled her into her arms again. The instant the rock sphere's defense was broken, Lingqiu covered her mouth tightly with one hand, her heart leaping as tears began to stream down her face.
"Mom, is Brother all right?" Lingqiu asked eagerly through tear-filled eyes, burying her face against Inoue's neck on the mountain.
Everyone stared at the black sphere. Mirai quietly appeared on the stone wall behind Wan Cheng, his hands forming seals toward Wan Cheng.
"Endure—Art of Changing Mood!" he said.
Once the black sphere was complete and he was fully concealed within it, Mirai left its protection with the Mind Dark Release: Decapitation Technique. He cleverly hid inside the rock wall where he had once been trapped, observing Wan Cheng's every move through the eyes of his mind as he waited for an opportunity.
When Chengmaru finally broke through the black sphere's defense and everyone focused on the scene within it, Mirai appeared atop the rock wall, moving behind the unguarded Chengmaru in the sky not far away.
Lingqiu was startled. The moment she saw Mirai appear on the mountain again, she burst into tears. She quickly released Inoue so that Inoue in her arms could also see that Mirai was safe.
"Mom, where is Brother?" Having just emerged from Dongqiao Cheng Lingqiu's arms, Inoue asked eagerly through blurred, tear-filled eyes.
"Look there. He's on the rock wall. It's Mirai, all right!" Lingqiu said tremulously, excitedly pointing at Mirai's figure lying on Dongqiao Cheng's rock wall.
"Wow, Brother is okay! That's wonderful!" Inoue followed the direction of Lingqiu's finger and immediately spotted Mirai. She cried with joy, then asked in confusion, "But why is Brother lying there?"
