Minato nodded and quickly removed the replacement weights. They were much heavier than the ones Mirai had used before, probably prepared for him in advance. Once the heavy burden was removed, Minato would move much more easily. Other than bathing and sleeping, he usually wore heavy weights. Training was a given!
Seeing this, Mirai secretly nodded. Minato was worthy of it. He might not have any exceptional bloodline, but his potential was limitless.
Kushina's red hair had been left behind, and Mirai and Minato both knew the route along which she had been taken.
As they moved farther away from Konoha, Minato grew increasingly impatient. As Minato said, "Damn it, who took Kushina? What are they trying to do?"
"It should be Kumogakure! This direction leads toward the Land of Lightning!" Mirai replied. "Other than Orochimaru, Kumogakure loves kidnapping people from under the Hokage's nose." Kushina was not the only one they had captured; in the future, they would also take Hinata Hyuga. Hizashi Hyuga would die because of them. Even Tobirama had been killed by them. The two sides could be said to harbor deep hatred for one another. Well, aside from Killer B being somewhat likable, nobody liked Kumogakure!
"Kumogakure? What the hell! But why would they take Kushina?" Minato was confused. Why would people from the Land of Lightning come all the way to Konoha to kidnap a girl? As far as Kushina knew, it wasn't as though the Land of Lightning lacked girls.
"That should be it!" Mirai sped up. "It'll be bad if they enter the Land of Lightning!" Mirai was weighed down by worry. The Second Shinobi World War was currently breaking out. If Kushina were taken into the Land of Lightning as a captive, Konoha would definitely be placed in a passive position!
