Song Linger had not even figured out where that sound had come from. She only saw a flash of light before hearing it, leaving her puzzled. Then she saw the warrior bodyguard's arms suddenly split in two. A thin diagonal line of blood appeared on his neck, and his head slowly slid down along it. Blood sprayed wildly, splattering Song Linger's pretty face all over.
When she looked at Mirai, she saw that he had kept two fingers extended. The tips of his fingers seemed to carry a faint golden glow. They moved in a steady yet swift rhythm, stirring up gusts of wind as though drawing out a wall of wind. The flowing blood could not pass through it, not a single drop splashing into the vortex. Within the wind wall stood Mirai and Rock Lee.
"Ah!!!" Song Linger was terrified and collapsed beside the headless corpse. She wailed as blood covered her face, yet she could not see how she looked.
"Hah..." The alluring woman saw the scene as well. She was startled at first, then seemed to breathe a sigh of relief before collapsing to the floor.
