After the voice fell silent, a burly man who had been crouching suddenly leaped down from the roof of a house, landing in front of Hiramoto Shitaro. His massive body completely blocked Hiramoto Shitaro from view.
It was not over yet.
"Heh heh, Master, don't panic. Since we're here, everyone who offended you will die!"
In the distance, a figure raced across the rooftops along the street, shouting as he ran. Once those words were spoken, the figure sprang up into the sky.
Everyone raised their heads, only to see the dazzling sunlight. In that instant, the not-tall, even somewhat thin figure seemed to block it out, leaving only his silhouette in their entire field of vision.

The slightly skinny man rose and then dropped down, landing in front of Hiramoto Shitaro and standing shoulder to shoulder with the broad-backed man.
Once the two gathered together, their cold gazes swept over the surroundings. Under those icy stares, the villagers watching the spectacle one after another felt as though they had fallen into an ice cellar, no longer daring to meet their eyes.
The two were quite satisfied with the villagers' reactions. Yet even so, several people still did not escape their notice. Instead, they met their gazes head-on, confronting them without yielding an inch.
Those few people were Anko Mitarashi, Mirai, and Chen Baojun. Anko Mitarashi and Mirai were the ones facing them down.

The two snorted coldly, instinctively taking Mirai for a man. In their eyes, anyone who had offended their master had to be male.
