The sharp pain gave off a chilling edge. His entire body was wrapped in hurricane-like currents, humming as they rubbed against the air.
In less than half a breath, the pain had already reached Mirai...
"Destroy!"
Mirai swiftly raised his other hand. Divine spiritual power flowed through his palm. He caught the kunai directly in his hand without missing. With a slight exertion of force, he split the kunai cleanly in two.
"What?"
The ninja's pupils contracted slightly, and his heart was filled with shock. That attack had looked simple, but it contained his Wind-nature chakra, making it incredibly powerful. Yet even so, Mirai had taken it with such ease. How could he not be astonished?
"That was too cheap for you."
Mirai glanced at the ninja without saying anything more. Then he looked at Anko Mitarashi, then at Ye Nan following beside him. He sighed. "So boring!"
Clearly, two sisters were nearby, yet one was unknown to him, while he could not use his real identity to start a conversation with the other. The feeling was deeply uncomfortable, and beneath that frustration, boredom swept through Mirai's entire body.
More importantly, Mirai felt that his current life seemed a little boring.
Ever since arriving in the world of the Hokage, Mirai had spent every day either carrying out missions or fighting others, with beautiful women around him. That life had been quite good, but ever since leaving the island not long ago, he had always felt as though something had vanished after he arrived at Xuangou.
Even when he had just seen the Konoha Dragon God, he had only been briefly surprised. Once that surprise passed, Mirai felt nothing at all. He did not even have the desire to speak with him.
"No goal?"
Mirai asked himself, then felt that
