Mirai swallowed and began to read. He started at the beginning. Naturally, there was some information about Konoha, too.
However, since Qian Ming had little authority and his family had low standing, the information he obtained contained nothing particularly private and was only somewhat one-sided.
For example, there was a report on Mirai's defection. If the relatively small forces of Emperor Meiji had some kind of intelligence network or spies in Kiba, they would surely know about Mirai's conflict with the corps. They would also know that his defection had been entirely forced and motivated by revenge.
However, the information here was just what Konoha had made public.
It was clear that Mirai couldn't put complete faith in this information from the lowly Ming Chuan.
Mirai spent half an hour looking through it, but found nothing useful. Just as he was about to grow numb with boredom, he came across a piece of intelligence that made his eyes light up.
"Sasuke has defected!"
Mirai was starting to feel confused about the plot. After all, he had killed many people he wasn't supposed to kill. Fortunately, Sasuke had still defected as he was meant to. That meant that even if there had been a few minor deviations, the overall direction shouldn't have changed much.
"Fat Tiger, was this information useful to you?"
Humble Ming Chuan noticed the slight change in Mirai's expression. He smiled at Mirai and asked at the first opportunity, reminding him again that he had gathered this information.
"I really must thank you this time, Mr. He Qian. This information is useful to me." Mirai smiled back.
Though humble Emperor Meiji was curious about which piece of intelligence had been useful to Mirai, he didn't ask. Nor did he try to look at the information Mirai now had
