"Roar—!"

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—!"

Black energy rapidly gathered in the Nine-Tails' mouth. The Tailed Beast Bomb, a devastating attack that all Tailed Beasts could use, had terrifying destructive power. If one hit Konoha Village, it would be almost completely destroyed. They absolutely couldn't let the Nine-Tails destroy Konoha.

The Fourth Hokage formed Hand Seals. As the Nine-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb reached him, it seemed to be sucked into a spatial rift, swallowed bit by bit, and then vanished.

Boom! Boom!!!

An explosion suddenly erupted far from Konoha. The earth shook, and the blast lit up the night. A mountain appeared to have been destroyed by that single Tailed Beast Bomb, showing just how powerful it was.

The Fourth Hokage couldn't help dropping to one knee and panting. Moving such an enormous Tailed Beast Bomb consumed a huge amount of chakra. Chakra was produced by combining mental energy and physical energy, so using it drained both his spirit and his stamina.

This wouldn't work. He had to move the Nine-Tails somewhere else, or he wouldn't be able to move another Tailed Beast Bomb.

"Whoosh!" The Kunai in his hand flew toward the Nine-Tails. Minato vanished from the top of Gamabunta's head and appeared beside the Nine-Tails.

"Whoosh!"

The Nine-Tails and Minato vanished together. Many of the ninja who saw it were stunned. The Third Hokage furrowed his brow. "Did Minato use the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport himself and the Nine-Tails away? Come on, we need to follow them." Though the Nine-Tails had been sent far away, everyone could still clearly sense its sinister chakra coming from the southeast. They had to go support him.

"Whoosh!" The Fourth Hokage reappeared in front of Mirai and Uzumaki Kushina.

"I've sent the Nine-Tails somewhere far from the village. Let's go seal it," Minato said to Uzumaki Kushina.

"I'm coming too," Mirai said with some difficulty.

Uzumaki Kushina and Namikaze Minato were both surprised. Kushina said, "Mirai, you've already done so much. You don't need to risk your life again."

"I have my own mission. To prevent anything from going wrong, I can use my Sharingan to suppress the Nine-Tails, even though I can't move very well. That way, the sealing will go smoothly." Mirai's mission was to help Namikaze Minato seal the Nine-Tails and obtain some of its chakra to activate the Rare Beast Pavilion. He had already overcome the greatest hurdle in both missions by surviving Uchiha Obito. How could he fail here?

Hearing Mirai's words, Namikaze Minato fell silent for a moment. He had very little chakra left, and completing the sealing would be difficult. But even if it meant dying, he had to take the Nine-Tails with him. He couldn't let it keep destroying the village.

"Mirai, this will still be very dangerous..."

"But if I don't go, the village will be in danger, won't it?" Mirai said with a smile. It was the same smile he'd worn earlier when Uchiha Obito had grabbed him by the neck, as if he'd put his own life and death aside.

Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina were visibly shaken. Mirai was so young, yet he was willing to risk his life to protect the village. No wonder the Third Hokage and that mysterious masked man had praised him so highly. This child was truly exceptional.

"All right, let's go!" Namikaze Minato prepared to teleport with Mirai, Uzumaki Kushina, and the newborn Naruto to the Nine-Tails' location.

The Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, and Uzumaki Kushina exchanged a glance. They both understood what the other was thinking: no matter what, they had to keep Mirai alive. It didn't matter if the two of them sacrificed themselves, but Mirai was the future hope of Konoha Village.

"Whoosh!" When they appeared, the rocks blocked the Nine-Tails' view, so it didn't notice them right away. It was busy wreaking havoc in the Forest.

This was Mirai's first time seeing the Nine-Tails up close. At such close range, he could feel just how terrifying its chakra was. Could a monster like this really be defeated by human strength? Though, as far as he remembered from the anime, no one had ever beaten the Tailed Beasts. They'd all been subdued with special jutsu.

"We need to set up the barrier quickly, but my chakra..." Ever since Uzumaki Kushina had gone into labor, the Fourth Hokage had been using his chakra to suppress the Nine-Tails. Then he'd fought continuously, and now his chakra was almost gone.

"I... can still do it..." Uzumaki Kushina said with difficulty. She was in just as bad a state. She'd just given birth while suppressing the Nine-Tails, and then Uchiha Obito had extracted it from her body. The fact that she was still alive was already a miracle. Only someone from the Uzumaki Clan could recover with such strength. Both of them were now completely drained.

"Rattle, rattle—!" A series of Chakra Chains appeared behind Uzumaki Kushina. "Whoosh, whoosh!" The chains swept across the ground and quickly surrounded the Nine-Tails.

Boom!!

The chains pinned the Nine-Tails to the ground and began tightening. The Nine-Tails turned its gaze toward them.

"Namikaze Minato..."

"Roar—!" The Nine-Tails realized it had been trapped and roared at Namikaze Minato. It remembered being sealed before, pinned down on a seal just like this.

It had only just regained its freedom. How could it possibly let itself be sealed again? "Roar!" It began to struggle violently, and the chains started to shake.

"Cough, cough!" As if from the strain of the Nine-Tails' struggle, Uzumaki Kushina started coughing, spitting bright red blood from her mouth.

Mirai spoke up. "I'll control the Nine-Tails and stop it from struggling." As he said this, he stepped forward, formed Hand Seals, and activated his Sharingan.

Mirai's eyes turned blood red in an instant. Two Tomoe appeared in each eye and began spinning rapidly as he used genjutsu to suppress the Nine-Tails.

"Roar!" The Nine-Tails threw its head back and roared.

"That sinister chakra again. Damn Uchiha Madara's descendant! That guy just enslaved me, and now a child with only a two-Tomoe Sharingan wants to control me with genjutsu too?" Though the words were part of the Nine-Tails' roar, Mirai could clearly hear what it was saying in his mind.
