(Chapter Eight: The First One)
Mirai gathered all the stuff up. It all belonged to him now, and for the sake of those Paper Bombs, he decided to let these guys off.
Of course, he still had to take the scrolls. Mirai found one scroll on each of them. It looked like the three of them hadn't gotten their shakedown business off the ground yet. Their very first target had turned the tables and robbed them instead.
The three had probably agreed on their plan before entering the Forest: head quickly toward the middle, use a special way to contact one another, then gang up on anyone alone and collect their scrolls.
But their seemingly flawless plan had run into him. They weren't much luckier than that blue-haired kid; they were all unlucky little souls.
All three had Earth Scrolls. No wonder their eyes had lit up when they heard he had two scrolls. One first-year student against three third-years—it couldn't have been a better opportunity.
Mirai took all the scrolls. If Uchiha Itachi or Mikazuki Sora didn't have one, he could give them a scroll each so they could pass the first round. But since these guys had attacked him, there was no reason to leave them anything. He might as well eliminate them. He really was too kind.
Mirai had already completed the task, so there was no need to waste time searching. This round had gone remarkably smoothly.
After Mirai left, two more ninja landed beside the people sprawled on the ground. They had been monitoring the examinees, and this was their assigned area. They had both seen the fight between Mirai and the three examinees.
