Background / History
Harry returns to his childhood home on Earth in the body of a ten- or eleven-year-old, retaining both his wizarding magic and the physical mutations, heightened senses, and Signs acquired as a Witcher. He suspects Hiri's Elder Blood may have sent him back through time and space. 1
Raised by the Dursleys, Harry reacts to his Hogwarts letter by forcing Petunia to explain his magical heritage. He uses Witcher Signs to defend himself from Vernon and refuses to accept the family's treatment quietly. 1 2 After Hagrid escorts him into the wizarding world, Harry discovers his parents left him a large inheritance at Gringotts and that he is celebrated as the Boy Who Lived. 2 3
Harry enters Hogwarts determined to become a sword-wielding Gryffindor. During his Sorting, he draws the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat and learns that doing so qualifies him to undertake Gryffindor's trials for permanent ownership of the sword. He is sorted into Gryffindor. 7 8
In his first year, Harry protects Hermione from a Troll, investigates Quirrell's connection to Voldemort, and confronts Quirrell during the attempt to steal the Sorcerer's Stone. He uses the Sorting Hat to contain Voldemort's soul fragment temporarily, though Voldemort escapes. 17 18 31 Dumbledore later confirms that Harry's scar contains a piece of Voldemort's soul and arranges for him to learn Occlumency and the Patronus Charm. 32
Appearance
Harry is unusually small and thin for his age, but carries himself with the alertness and physical conditioning of a Witcher. His mutations have made his eyes and senses visibly and noticeably different from those of ordinary wizards. 1 2 7
- Amber or golden-brown eyes with vertical, cat-like pupils. 1 2
- Formerly had emerald-green eyes before receiving his Hogwarts letter. 9
- Possesses a lightning-shaped scar that reacts to Voldemort and Quirrell. 8 9 18
- Has heightened senses capable of tracking people by scent and perceiving magical auras. 4 8 10
- Finds loose Hogwarts robes uncomfortable and prefers armor or fitted clothing. 4
- Uses sunglasses when disguising himself because his Witcher eyes are distinctive. 23 24
Personality
Harry is blunt, practical, and difficult to intimidate. He distrusts authority figures until they earn his confidence, particularly when they control information or property connected to his parents. His suspicion of Dumbledore begins with the handling of his inheritance and continues after he realizes that the Sorcerer's Stone's defenses were arranged as a test. 3 9 31
His Witcher background gives him a pragmatic view of violence, monsters, materials, and risk. He values potion ingredients and magical-creature byproducts more readily than the creatures themselves, favors ambushes over unnecessary direct combat, and assesses threats through scent, magical aura, and behavior. 12 13 18 48
Despite considering Witchers emotionally detached, Harry places great importance on personal connections. He protects Neville from Malfoy, risks himself to save Hermione from the Troll, and tells Hermione that relationships matter more than rigid school rules. 13 17 20
