Tang Liu had just sold out today's hundred servings of little pastries. He lounged back in his chair, a straw hat covering his face as he basked in the warm winter sunlight.
Not long afterward, someone's voice reached his ears.
"Excuse me, are you the seller of those delicious pastries?"
The one who spoke was that boy.
He carried the bamboo basket Ye Lingling had brought over that morning. It looked like he had come to return it.
Hearing the voice, Tang Liu removed the straw hat shielding him from the sun and sat up, looking at the boy. "Delicious pastries? Is that what you call the little pastries I make?"
The boy stared at him and froze, even beginning to stammer. "Uh, b-because your pastries really are delicious. I-I was fortunate enough to taste one."
He had never imagined that someone in this world could be so good-looking that one could be stunned speechless at first sight.
What surprised him even more was that this pastry stall owner was not only handsome, but also seemed to be a boy several years younger than him.
Tang Liu smiled at the boy's nervous appearance, then asked a question whose answer he had long known. "What's your name?"
Though the stall owner before him was younger, the boy had no presence whatsoever. "My name is Lu Qiufeng."
Tang Liu nodded and leaned back against the chair again. "Here to see Lingling?"
Lu Qiufeng froze. "Huh?"
"The blue-haired girl."
"Oh, yes. How did you know?"
Tang Liu could not help laughing. He put the straw hat back over his face. "Go in. Just leave the basket in the tiled house on the left after you enter."
Lu Qiufeng froze again. "Huh?"
"Lingling is cultivating. Don't disturb her."
