Background / History
Tang Liu was originally a fifteen-year-old Chinese high-school student and orphan. Having read Douluo Continent in his previous life, he retains knowledge of its world after transmigrating and is named Tang Liu by Tang Hao. He grows up in Holy Soul Village alongside Tang San, whom he treats with respect and care, while openly resenting Tang Hao's neglect and depression. 1
As a child, Tang Liu is physically frail. At age three, he suffers persistent coughing and fevers for months; Tang Hao secretly uses soul power to aid his recovery, while Tang San gathers medicinal herbs for him. 8 His stubbornness appears early: he refuses to submit under Tang Hao's pressure even when his body is on the verge of collapse. 2
His awakening initially appears to produce Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power, but the Assistant System later identifies his true first martial soul as the mutated Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor, alongside the Clear Sky Hammer and an unknown dormant third martial soul. 3 4 At Notting Academy, Grandmaster recognizes the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor as an intangible auxiliary martial soul, while Tang Liu declines formal apprenticeship because he considers Tang San's master his own as well. 6
After obtaining his first spirit ring, Tang Liu awakens the Compendium of Haolan Spells, the ancient book connected to his transmigration. Its self-generated soul rings and marking-based abilities make him a target worth concealing from Martial Soul Hall. 10 11 12 Tang Hao ultimately removes him from Notting Academy and personally oversees his cultivation after learning of his innate Level 20 soul power. 17 19
Tang Liu spends several years traveling and training with Tang Hao, compressing his soul power rather than advancing immediately. He later enters Shrek Academy at age twelve, reunites with Tang San and Xiao Wu, and supports the other applicants during Zhao Wuji's entrance assessment. 30 43 44
After joining Shrek, Tang Liu spends three months in Deep Meditation and opens a Sea of Spirit, gaining the ability to freely release and retract his Mental Power. Grandmaster consequently abandons the separate training regimen he had prepared for Tang Liu and integrates him into the Shrek students' team training. 79
Tang Liu covertly forces Dugu Bo to cooperate with Shrek's plans by using the Hao-Lan Mark to drain Soul Power, seal memories, and make Dugu Bo's apparent hostility toward Tang San convincing. He then uses the Icefire Yin Yang Well incident to preserve the intended course of events while investigating the dragon remains beneath the well. 100 104
During the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang Liu becomes one of Shrek's decisive fighters. He defeats Godwind Academy and Thunder Academy alone, openly reveals his Clear Sky Hammer to Spirit Hall, and is exposed as the continent's first known Triple Martial Soul wielder. 143 147 206
Tang Liu later restores Tang Chen's consciousness in Killing City, reunites Tang Hao with Tang Yuehua at Moonlight Pavilion, and formally returns to the Clear Sky Sect with Tang San. Through his strength, Tang Chen's authority, and Tang Xiao's recognition, he is appointed heir to the next Clear Sky Sect Master. 265 266 276
After expanding his own group in the Star Luo Empire and Sun Moon Empire, Tang Liu manipulates political opponents, acquires Soul Tools, and hunts increasingly powerful Soul Beasts. His battle with the Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler restores buried memories of his true identity as an otherworldly existence called “Tang Liou,” while revealing a larger timeline of system repairs, dimensional gates, and hidden missions. 292 309 310
Tang Liu eventually becomes a Title Douluo and participates in conflicts against Spirit Hall, later surviving an apparent death through his five-coffin contingency plan. He remains active ten thousand years later, where he discreetly guides Tang Ya and observes the Tang Sect's attempt to adapt to the Soul Tool era. 353 580 548
Appearance
Tang Liu is notably small for his age, with a youthful appearance that frequently causes others to mistake him for a much younger child. At eleven, he is barely over 1.3 meters tall despite Tang Hao's care and a diet including century-old soul beast ingredients. 30
- Short blue-black hair and matching blue-black eyes. 1
- Fair complexion, contrasting Tang San's wheat-colored skin. 1
- Resembles Tang San in several facial features and also resembles Ah Yin. 1 2
- Has a handsome but soft, childlike face; at twelve, he can pass for seven or eight years old. 30 41
- Often conceals his identity at Shrek Academy beneath a black robe and hood. 41 43
- His refined appearance remains deceptively youthful even when he is nearly fifteen, causing the Star Luo Emperor to initially mistake him for an eleven- or twelve-year-old child. 232
- After fusing the Dragon Wing External Soul Bones, he can manifest a red wing and a blue wing from his back. 111
- After taking the Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler's eye, his left eye becomes blue-green with flame-like markings, while his right eye becomes blood-red with a silver pupil and thorn-like patterns. 310
Personality
Tang Liu is lazy about physical training and openly dislikes exhausting work, preferring cultivation, reading, planning, or resting. He is especially self-conscious about his short stature and weak physical strength, defensively insisting that he is an auxiliary-type Soul Master when criticized for it. 3 30
He is also stubborn, sharp-tongued, and irreverent toward Tang Hao, regularly provoking him or manipulating him through spoiled behavior. Despite this, his hostility stems partly from concern for his family's suffering and Tang Hao's refusal to move beyond the past. 1 4 23 24
Beneath his teasing and occasional superiority complex, Tang Liu is strategic and protective. He plans his soul-ring path years ahead, prioritizes healing Ah Yin, conceals dangerous information from Martial Soul Hall, and repeatedly uses his abilities to protect Tang San and his future teammates. 11 25 44 45
Tang Liu's strategic side becomes increasingly ruthless as his strength grows. He is willing to threaten Dugu Bo, alter memories, control enemies through the Hao-Lan Mark, and manipulate political events when he believes doing so will protect his plans or companions. 100 104 292
Despite this cold pragmatism, Tang Liu craves familial affection and wants Tang Hao to be proud of him. His affection for Tang Hao, Tang San, Ah Yin, and later companions repeatedly restrains his willingness to abandon the world or pursue power at any cost. 100 310 580
- He treats romance and interpersonal conflict as strategic problems, notably engineering situations to push Grandmaster and Liu Erlong toward reconciliation. 102 116
- He is highly mischievous and frequently uses teasing to defuse tension, embarrass powerful elders, or provoke opponents into mistakes. 69 155 275
- He is patient enough to wait across millennia, preferring indirect bargains and carefully connected plans over direct intervention when preserving a larger timeline. 412
Abilities & Skills
Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor
A mutated, top-tier plant-type support martial soul derived from the Blue Silver Emperor. It has no physical form and sacrifices conventional attack and control capabilities for support, defense, healing potential, and an innate domain. 4 6
- Appears as translucent blue grass or crystal-like vines with golden veins. 6 31
- Its first three documented rings are yellow, purple, and black. 44
- Its connection to Ah Yin's bloodline gives Tang Liu partial awareness of her memories and condition. 25
- By the time he enters Killing City, its six Soul Rings consist of four black rings, a blue-gold fifth ring, and a red hundred-thousand-year sixth ring. 264
- After absorbing the Silver-Eyed Tyrant's two-hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring, the martial soul possesses a seventh red ring marked by two golden lines. 309
- Its properties grant Tang Liu exceptional resistance to elemental attributes, making lightning, poison, and similar attribute-based attacks ineffective against him. 155 182
Ethereal Defense
Grants a chosen person, animal, or object the Ghost Cat's ethereal state for one minute. External attacks pass through the protected target without negating its innate abilities or active soul skills. 10
- Can protect Tang San while allowing his Blue Silver Grass to continue binding targets. 10
- Lets Tang Liu ignore terrain and move directly through obstacles when used on himself. 32
- Cannot fully negate overwhelming force; Zhao Wuji's attack still sends Tang Liu flying despite the skill. 45
- Removes air resistance when applied to himself, allowing Tang Liu to match the flight speed of exceptionally powerful Soul Beasts. 250
- Allows Tang Liu to ignore most tangible control skills, including Blue Silver Grass bindings, web restraints, and physical energy attacks. 379
Ethereal Stealth
A second soul skill acquired from the Demon Eye Demon Tree. It grants stealth to up to five targets within a 100-meter radius for up to two minutes. 28
- Breaks existing locks and prevents affected targets from being locked on. 28
- Conceals targets from ordinary observational methods; effectiveness scales with Tang Liu's mental power. 28
- Ends when an affected target deals or receives damage. 28
- Enables Tang Liu to approach the Jade Spirit Fox clan without alerting nearby soul beasts. 32
- Its apparent limitation on attacking while hidden results from insufficient Mental Power control rather than an absolute restriction; with adequate control, Tang Liu can conceal allies' movements and attacks as well. 76
- Ethereal Stealth remains usable within Tang Hao's Divine Slaughter's Domain, despite the domain's suppressive effect. 209
Ethereal Protection
A ten-thousand-year third soul skill that applies short-term protection to up to ten designated targets. 44
- For five seconds, reduces maximum incoming damage by 95% and substantially mitigates special effects. 44
- Provides an additional 60% damage reduction during its duration. 44
- Repeated use is extremely costly; four activations nearly exhaust Tang Liu's soul power during Zhao Wuji's assessment. 45
Ethereal Breath
A fourth soul skill obtained through Ring Borrowing from a Purifying Python. It places an Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor at a chosen point within 200 meters and releases a purification field with a 200-meter effective radius. 119
- Purifies negative effects within its range. 119
- Prevents enemies recognized by Tang Liu from releasing offensive Soul Skills for five seconds. 119
- Its suppressive effect is ineffective against opponents whose Soul Power substantially exceeds Tang Liu's. 119
- It can disperse enemy control, remove effects such as Ring of Fire Repulsion, and seal an opposing team's offensive Soul Skills. 137 147
Ethereal Silence
Ethereal Silence is the first genuinely offensive soul skill of the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor. When directly applied to a target through the Blue Silver Spirit Emperor Spear, it grants the spear destructive power ranked among Tang Liu's strongest offensive methods. 379
- Its destructive force is dangerous even to god-level opponents. 379
- When combined with Ethereal Defense and Ethereal Breath, it becomes exceptionally difficult to block through conventional defense or Soul Skills. 379
- The attack can still be avoided unless Tang Liu supplements it with causality-based power. 379
Ethereal Blue Emperor Domain
Tang Liu's innate domain, distinct from a normal Blue Silver Domain. 26
- Activation — stimulates Blue Silver Grass touched by the domain. 26
- Connection — strengthens his connection with surrounding Blue Silver Grass. 26
- Regeneration — supports recovery. 26
- Concealment — suppresses his aura; he can reduce the domain to a one-meter radius to avoid detection. 26 32
- Imperial Might — reflects the authority of the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline. 26
- Its regeneration effect can be used with sufficient precision to heal, restrain, or painfully interrupt another person's actions. 242
- The domain preserves the growth of its Blue Silver Grass even under unnatural snow and severe external conditions. 242
Blue Silver Spirit Emperor Spear
Tang Liu can condense the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor into the Blue Silver Spirit Emperor Spear, a high-speed piercing weapon. 264
- The spear possesses an absolute armor-piercing property and can shatter an enemy's martial soul while piercing its user. 264
- Tang Liu uses it without Soul Skills to hold multiple Title Douluo at bay, allowing Tang San to defeat them. 361
- When empowered by Ethereal Silence, it becomes one of Tang Liu's most destructive direct attacks. 379
Compendium of Haolan Spells
Tang Liu's third martial soul is the ancient book connected to his transmigration. Unlike ordinary martial souls, it naturally generates its own blue-black soul rings. 10 12
- Its techniques consume exceptionally large amounts of soul power, even after Tang Liu compresses and refines his reserves. 21 30
- Its ring progression is independent of hunting soul beasts. 12 23
- Tang Liu uses it to create temporary runic artifacts, manipulate marks, teleport, and extract or borrow soul-beast abilities. 21 22 36 37
- The Haolan Spell is connected to both the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor and the Clear Sky Hammer. 76
- Its independently generated rings cause Er Ming to consider Tang Liu functionally similar to a Soul Beast, as he could potentially produce Soul Rings and Soul Bones if killed. 69
- Tang Liu eventually condenses an eighth blue-black Soul Ring for the Haolan Spell and prepares the ninth as part of his unique three-Soul-Core cultivation path. 345 353
Hao-Lan Mark
A marking skill placed through skin contact; Tang Liu later develops ways to transfer marks through indirect contact. 10 19
- Allows Tang Liu to observe the vicinity of marked targets by concentrating on their marks. 12 16
- Can mark objects, trees, soul beasts, and people. 14 15
- Lets him control a marked Mandala Snake and ultimately kill the 5,800-year soul beast. 16
- Can be used to extract a soul skill from the Jade Spirit Fox for his “Ring Borrowing” method. 36 37
- Allows Tang Liu to drain a marked target's Soul Power and use the resulting threat as leverage against stronger opponents. 100
- Enables memory sealing, restoration, and manipulation, as demonstrated on Dugu Bo. 104
- Can extract Soul Rings and Soul Bones from Soul Beasts without killing them, allowing Tang Liu to borrow the Imperial Golden Tiger's two-hundred-thousand-year resources. 345
- Tang Liu uses it to control powerful prisoners, including Ghost Douluo, Chrysanthemum Douluo, Dai Weisi, and other political opponents. 252 281
Hao-Lan Teleport
A second Haolan Spell soul skill that teleports Tang Liu to a marked target or transports marked people and creatures. 10 12
- Activates with no observable delay in combat. 14
- Can teleport Tang Liu across immense distances, though such use can consume nearly all his soul power and leave him weak for a day. 10
- Can carry Tang Hao or the Jade Spirit Fox along with him. 19 32
- Allows Tang Liu to retrieve Little Funi even after Tang Hao sends the fox back to the Star Dou Great Forest. 35
- Can reposition allies and enemies across an arena, making it a central part of Shrek's team tactics. 131 151
- Tang Liu can use it remotely with the Clear Sky Hammer, repeatedly moving the weapon before powerful opponents can seize it. 207
Haolan Force Field
Tang Liu can create blue Haolan Force Fields for defense, restraint, movement, and offense. 143
- Forms barriers capable of blocking combined attacks from multiple Soul Ancestors. 143
- Can become blades, arrows, walls, cages, platforms, and sword-like projectiles. 143 147
- Enables Tang Liu to fight at close range by coating his body and limbs in a resilient blue-black defensive layer. 143 182
- Its precision improves with his Mental Power, eventually allowing him to direct meteor-shower-like volleys in which every projectile strikes a different target. 147
- Tang Liu uses it to trap Grandmaster and Liu Erlong in a tent, separate enemies, and forcibly remove opponents from competition stages. 116 182
Haolan · Formless
Haolan · Formless is the Haolan Spell's fifth soul skill. It allows Tang Liu to use Haolan Spell soul skills without manifesting the Compendium of Haolan Spells. 119
- It significantly improves Tang Liu's combat endurance and reduces the opportunity for enemies to identify or interrupt his martial-soul switching. 133 154
Soul Incantation, Art, and Law
Tang Liu can use Soul Incantations to amplify, transform, or apply his abilities beyond ordinary Soul Skill limitations. 153
- He uses a Soul Incantation to protect Ye Lingling, Mu Jing, and Lu Qiufeng by elevating them into a higher dimension during his battle with the Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler. 309
- He has demonstrated Art: Rupture, which can forcibly separate the Demon Charm Martial Soul Fusion Skill. 204
- He has also used a Law-based ability to immobilize targets, destroy incoming techniques, and expel opponents from the battlefield. 204
Runic Storage Artifact
Tang Liu uses blood, a Small Seal-script character, the Hao-Lan Mark, and soul power to create a temporary storage artifact. 21 22
- Stores up to three cubic meters. 22
- Collapses after twenty-four hours, destroying everything stored inside. 22
- Cannot contain living creatures. 22
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Liu's second martial soul is the inherited Clear Sky Hammer of the Clear Sky Sect's direct line. 4
- Manifests as a small, pitch-black hammer with archaic patterns. 4
- Is categorized by the System as a top-tier attack-type tool martial soul. 4
- Tang Liu primarily presents himself as an auxiliary Soul Master and does not publicly rely on the hammer during the documented Shrek assessment. 43 44
- Its public appearance before Spirit Hall confirms Tang Liu as the first known Triple Martial Soul wielder. 206
- Tang Liu later attaches at least two blood-red two-hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings to the hammer through Ring Borrowing from the Imperial Golden Tiger. 273 345
Grand Sumeru Hammer and Detached Chaotic Wind
Tang Liu learns the Grand Sumeru Hammer and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer by observing Tang Hao's instruction of Tang San. 207 209
- Grand Sumeru Hammer: Ring Explosion — Tang Liu can detonate his Soul Rings to unleash the Grand Sumeru Hammer's explosive force. 207
- Detached Chaotic Wind — an improved, remote-controlled form of Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer. Tang Liu uses Hao-Lan Teleport and the Hao-Lan Mark to repeatedly reposition the Clear Sky Hammer, bypassing the physical recoil that normally limits its user. 207
- Detached Chaotic Wind can continue accumulating force beyond the normal eighty-one-strike limit because Tang Liu does not need to physically hold the hammer. 207
- Tang Liu later demonstrates the hammer's second soul skill, Gravity Anomaly Domain, which grants him control over gravity inside its range unless an opponent possesses superior gravitational authority. 379
Demon Eye External Soul Bone
Tang Liu gains the Demon Eye External Soul Bone after absorbing the Demon Eye Demon Tree's spirit ring. It enhances his left eye and grants Illusionary Gaze. 28
- Enables mental-power projection at age six. 28
- Its left-eye activation causes the patterns around his eye socket to shine like flames. 28
- Tang Liu's mental strength later reaches the level of an average Soul King. 32
- He uses Illusionary Gaze to attack minds, read memories, and extract information from hostile souls. 52 230
- Tang Liu avoids using Illusionary Gaze recklessly against Title Douluo because a mental backlash from a stronger mind could injure him. 155
Dragon Wing External Soul Bones
Tang Liu acquires a pair of Dragon Wing External Soul Bones after interacting with the dragon spirits Di Shuang and Di Yan beneath the Icefire Yin Yang Well. 108 111
- The bones manifest as one red wing and one blue wing. 111
- Their gradual fusion strengthens Tang Liu's body, meridians, and capacity to withstand Soul Power pressure. 155
- Together with the Demon Eye, they account for the three External Soul Bones Tang Liu possesses during the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. 147
Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler Eye
Tang Liu seals and extracts the Evil Eye Tyrant Ruler's blood-red eye, then fuses it into his own right eye. 310
- The right eye becomes blood-red with a silver pupil and thorn-like patterns. 310
- Its fusion violently expands and darkens Tang Liu's Sea of Spirit, causing him to recover buried memories of his true identity and timeline. 310
Soul Cores and Yin-Yang Soul Bones
Tang Liu's cultivation path requires three Soul Cores, each assigned to a different martial soul and Dantian. 345
- Lower Dantian Soul Core — belongs to the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor and serves as the root of Tang Liu's Soul Power. 345
- Middle Dantian Soul Core — belongs to the Clear Sky Hammer; Tang Liu forms it through the Yin-Yang Complementary Method. 352 353
- Upper Dantian Soul Core — is reserved for the Haolan Spell and cannot be formed until he reaches Rank 98 and fulfills further requirements. 345
- Tang Liu later gains the Yin Hexagram Left Leg Bone and Yang Hexagram Right Leg Bone, which contain dangerous Origin-level Yin and Yang powers that must eventually be reclaimed. 353
Tang Sect Techniques
Tang Liu learned several of Tang San's Tang Sect arts, though he trains them less diligently than Tang San. 3 12
- Purple Demon Eye — reaches the Insight realm, improving long-range observation. 12
- Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon and Mysterious Jade Hand — used for mobility and climbing. 12
- Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer — Tang Hao urges him to practice it, but Tang Liu lacks the physical strength to wield even a fifty-kilogram forging hammer. 30
- Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — used alongside Mysterious Jade Hand and Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon to evade and redirect Feng Xiaotian's attacks. 143
- Heart Separation Control — Tang Liu masters multitasking through a month of training, improving both his Mental Power growth and precision. 92
Equipment / Items
- Storage Soul Tool — given by Tang Hao before Tang Liu enrolls at Shrek Academy; it contains unspecified supplies. 38
- Black robe and hood — used to hide his identity and appearance upon arriving at Shrek Academy. 41 43
- Small knife — used while demonstrating Ethereal Defense to Tang San and Grandmaster. 10
- Recording Stone — used to show Tang Xiao and Tang Yuehua proof that Tang Hao has recovered and regained a youthful appearance. 274
- Grade Eight Melee Soul Tool — a small Tang saber purchased in the Sun Moon Empire; it amplifies externally released Soul Power by 80% while significantly reducing expenditure. 288
- Soul Tool arsenal — Tang Liu acquires Class 6 and 7 Soul Tools, defensive Soul Tools, Milk Bottles, Soul Tool cannons, and a Class 9 fixed-installed cannon shell from the Radiant City auction incident. 292
- Five linked coffins — Tang Liu's hidden contingency for surviving fatal injuries and faking his death across eras. 580
Relationships
- Tang San — Older brother. Tang Liu deeply values their family bond, supports Tang San's safety, and reunites with him at Shrek Academy after years apart. 1 17 43 Tang Liu secretly protects and heals Tang San during the latter's nearly two years in Killing City, and the brothers later fight together against Spirit Hall. 265 281
- Tang Hao — Father. Their relationship begins with resentment and constant arguments, but develops into mutual concern after Tang Hao takes responsibility for Tang Liu's training and protection. 1 19 27 38 Tang Liu's desire to make Tang Hao proud leads to an emotional reconciliation, while Tang Hao later personally trains his Clear Sky Hammer combat. 100 155
- Ah Yin — Mother. Tang Liu plans his soul-master path around eventually healing her, believing his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline gives him fragments of her memories. 25 Her blue-gold aura is reflected in Tang Liu's fifth Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor Soul Ring. 264
- Grandmaster — Tang San's master and Tang Liu's early mentor. He identifies the Ethereal Blue Silver Emperor's support nature and helps protect Tang Liu from Martial Soul Hall's attention. 6 11 12 Tang Liu increasingly respects Grandmaster's insight after he diagnoses the Mental Power-control weakness in Ethereal Stealth. 76
- Liu Erlong — Tang Liu recognizes her as his aunt through her relationship with Grandmaster. He becomes her confidant and repeatedly schemes to resolve her relationship with Grandmaster. 102 116
- Little Funi — A hundred-thousand-year Jade Spirit Fox who becomes Tang Liu's companion after swearing to protect him. The fox heals him after Zhao Wuji's assessment. 37 38 46 Little Funi can disguise Tang Liu's Soul Ring colors and is a source for his Ring Borrowing method. 52 209
- Xiao Wu — Tang San's close companion and Tang Liu's longtime acquaintance. She welcomes him back at Shrek, while he frequently teases her about Tang San. 43 48 Tang Liu regards her as Tang San's future wife and asks Er Ming to protect her. 69
- Er Ming — The Titan Giant Ape. Tang Liu becomes friends with Er Ming after calmly explaining Little Funi's presence and teasing him about Xiao Wu's future relationship with Tang San. 69
- Dugu Bo — Initially coerced into cooperation through Tang Liu's Hao-Lan Mark, Soul Power drain, and memory manipulation. Their relationship gradually becomes more familiar as Tang Liu helps loosen Dugu Bo's bottleneck and promises to resolve his poison. 100 104 112
- Tang Chen — Great-grandfather. Tang Liu restores Tang Chen's consciousness by removing the Dark Gold Bat King's influence, then gains his ancestor's pride and backing after revealing his exceptional cultivation. 265
- Tang Xiao — Uncle and Clear Sky Sect Master. Tang Xiao recognizes Tang Liu's potential and formally appoints him heir to the next Clear Sky Sect Master. 274 276
- Tang Yuehua — Paternal aunt. Tang Liu reassures her of Tang Hao's recovery and is recognized as the young master of Moonlight Pavilion. 266 274
- Dai Mubai — Shrek teammate and later political partner in the Star Luo Empire. Dai Mubai trusts Tang Liu's plans during the succession conflict and oversees projects commissioned by him. 59 226 281
- Mu Jing — A control-type Soul Master and member of Tang Liu's later group. Tang Liu recognizes the hidden potential of her Seven-Star Plum martial soul and directs her growth. 217 252
- Ye Lingling — A Nine-Heart Begonia healing Soul Master whom Tang Liu accepts into his group after assigning her a revenge-based leadership assessment. He gives her the Evil Eye Tyrant's Head Soul Bone and helps her gain combat ability through Soul Tools. 242 309 292
- Lu Qiufeng — A sword wielder with the Autumn Edge martial soul and Sword Eyes. Tang Liu recruits, trains, and entrusts him with missions requiring restraint and concealment. 240 252 345
- Qian Renxue — Initially an opponent observing Tang Liu's exceptional potential. She later becomes central to his survival plans after taking a fatal attack meant for him and assisting with the Coffin-Pushing contingency. 148 580
- Tang Ya — A distant descendant of the Tang Sect's later era. Tang Liu becomes a protective elder-like figure to her, encouraging her to modernize the Tang Sect rather than rely on its ancient prestige. 548
- Assistant System — A bound encyclopedia-like system that provides information, instructions, and warnings but does not grant gifts, goods, or exchanges. 4 21 22
