When the other man remained silent for a long while, Dai Yunze worked up the courage to speak. "Y-you are?"
The young man let the expression fade from his face and shook his head lightly. Then he clasped his hands behind his back and turned toward the depths of the wooden house. "Follow me."
Dai Yunze watched his retreating figure, hesitated for a moment, and decided to follow.
But as soon as he took a step, the space around him shifted again, and he abruptly felt himself falling.
The falling sensation vanished almost as soon as it began, because Dai Yunze found himself sitting on a somewhat antique leather sofa.
Before Dai Yunze could figure out what was happening, he saw the young man walk over from the side and casually sit down in another armchair across from him.
The young man moved his fingers, and two blue lights shone on the coffee table before them. When the light faded, two cups of steaming tea had appeared on it.
The young man looked at Dai Yunze. "Tea?"
Dai Yunze was terribly nervous. "Th-thank you."
The young man picked up the cup in front of him and took a small sip.
Seeing this, Dai Yunze picked up his own tea and cautiously took a sip—he really was a little thirsty.
Although the tea looked steaming hot, its temperature was just right when it touched his lips. The instant he swallowed, warmth spread through his entire body, immediately making him feel considerably warmer.
After a sip of tea, Dai Yunze turned his gaze back to the young man sitting across from him.
How could he put it? Aside from his strikingly handsome face, the young man had an ethereal air, as though untouched by worldly dust. It made him seem almost unreal,
