Entering the blue dome went somewhat more smoothly than Dai Yunze had imagined.
No monsters attacked them, nor did the blue barrier obstruct them. Once they drew close, they stepped inside as easily as pushing open a door left ajar.
There was no seawater in the world within the blue barrier. Naturally, the moment Dai Yunze and Chen Lü entered, they began plummeting downward.
As soon as he felt the buoyancy disappear, Dai Yunze spread the Icefire Dragon King Twin Wings and brought Chen Lü slowly down to the ground.
Not only was there no seawater inside the blue barrier, but it was also filled with air, allowing them to breathe freely.
After landing, both men were drawn to the conspicuous altar and started walking toward it together.
Up close, they found that the altar stood as tall as a person. Once they climbed onto it, they saw numerous profound runes carved into its pitch-black surface. Together with the interwoven lines, they formed an array neither could decipher.
The array began glowing the instant they stepped onto the altar, until a rectangular gateway of light formed at its center.
That should be the exit.
Dai Yunze and Chen Lü exchanged a glance, then walked toward the gateway together.
"Junior brother, I'll see you outside, then." Chen Lü smiled, seemingly having remembered something the moment the gateway appeared.
Dai Yunze understood and returned his smile. "All right."
Stepping into the gateway felt peculiar, but not unfamiliar.
An unimaginable radiance instantly flooded his eyes, leaving his vision utterly blank.
It was exactly what had happened when he entered the Trial Secret Realm.
Yet when the light faded and his vision returned, Dai Yunze was not standing in the martial training grounds.
Instead, he found himself amid an endless expanse of yellow sand.
