Before Deva Path Pain, Shisui Uchiha blocked the four Six Paths Puppets.
They were several hundred meters from Konoha Hospital, which lay behind Shisui.
By now, Shisui had activated his Sharingan. The strange pattern in his left eye slowly turned—it was his Mangekyō Sharingan.
His right eye, however, was still recovering from Kotoamatsukami. He couldn't awaken its Mangekyō Sharingan and could only keep it in the Three-Tomoe Sharingan state.
"You barged into Konoha without permission. What exactly do you want?" Shisui knew their real target was the Nine-Tails inside Kushina, but all he could do for now was pretend he didn't know.
"Our target isn't you. Let us pass, and we won't harm your subordinates." Though his opponent was a few years younger than him, Nagato didn't underestimate him. From Shisui's left eye, which radiated a cold, ominous, despairing aura, Nagato sensed a faint threat.
He'd felt something similar not long ago from a man who claimed to be Uchiha Madara. He'd even experienced the man's bizarre ocular jutsu, which was every bit as powerful as his own Rinnegan. That mysterious man was Shimura Danzō.
So Nagato didn't want to get tangled up with Shisui. He couldn't afford to be attacked from both sides if the Fourth Hokage arrived.
Danzō had no Uchiha bloodline—or, in other words, no Indra Bloodline. He couldn't evolve the Three-Tomoe Sharingan in his eye socket into a Mangekyō Sharingan on his own.
But that was no problem for Shisui.
After Shisui used the item "Obito's Dark Heart" on Shimura Danzō, every part of Danzō's body had been strengthened to some degree. With the help of the Hashirama Cells inside him and the Sharingan itself, the Three-Tomoe Sharingan—whose original owner was unknown—had awakened into the Mangekyō state.
