It was Susanoo, summoned by Shisui.
"What do you mean by this?" Nagato's Rinnegan fixed on Shisui. Though he had proposed a deal, that didn't mean Shisui could treat him like a fool.
Faced with Nagato's demand, Shisui offered no further explanation. Instead, he controlled Susanoo to turn around, raise the Spiral Bone Sword, and bring it down on the Nine-Tails.

Shisui's move left both man and fox utterly bewildered.
Susanoo in its Fourth Form unleashed a full-force strike, piercing straight through the Nine-Tails Fox.
As everyone knew, the Nine Tailed Beasts of the Shinobi World were masses of chakra and couldn't be killed by physical attacks. This only made Nagato even less certain what Shisui was up to.
But soon, Nagato noticed that although the Nine-Tails Fox had not been killed, it was gradually splitting in two under Susanoo's attack.
The once-whole Nine-Tails Fox had split into two separate beings. As they pulled apart, their shapes began to change, gradually coming to resemble two smaller Nine-Tails Foxes.
"What's going on?" Nagato stared at everything unfolding before him in confusion. For a moment, he even forgot to capture the two Nine-Tails, which were still taking shape and unable to fight back.
Only Shisui watched it all with a calm expression.
"As expected, the whole Nine-Tails can split into two."
Shisui had gotten the idea from the Yin and Yang Nine-Tails in his previous life.
Since the Nine-Tails had been split in two by Minato Namikaze's Dead Demon Consuming Seal in his previous life, couldn't he do the same and divide the Nine-Tails into Yin and Yang halves?
