"Miss Medea, if you don't mind me asking, is your Noble Phantasm a healing type?" Iori asked, a little embarrassed.
Heroic Spirits were strange beings. The same person could have multiple different forms within the Hall of Heroes.
Their younger selves, middle-aged selves, and elderly selves had different experiences and skills, yet were all the same person.
They manifested in different forms depending on the circumstances.
And depending on the form they manifested in, a Heroic Spirit's Noble Phantasms and skills would also differ.
According to legend, Medea was the daughter of Aeetes, king of Colchis in Greece.
She was the granddaughter of Helios, the sun god, and a priestess of Hecate, the goddess of Magecraft.
Because of Aphrodite, Medea had been cursed to "fall in love with Jason, the leader of the Argo."
When she and Jason fled abroad, she committed a heinous act to stop her father's ship from pursuing them.
She personally hacked her younger brother to pieces and scattered his remains into the sea. For this, people scorned her as a "witch."
In the Type-Moon World, after Jason returned home, Medea used Magecraft to kill his uncle, who had seized the throne.
After Jason fell in love with someone else, she killed his mistress and her own two children, then drove away.
In the anime, Medea had appeared in her adult form, wielding a Noble Phantasm called Rule Breaker, which was especially effective against energy.
But in the game Fate/Grand Order, Medea〔Lily〕, who appeared in her girlhood form, possessed a Noble Phantasm with powerful healing effects.
"Yes, I do. If you need it, Mr. Iori, please copy it. I'd be so happy if I could help."
Medea〔Lily〕smiled sweetly. Medea, still training at the Temple of Hecate, had yet to become the witch who would betray others.
As a young girl, she was pure-hearted and kind, treating everyone with warmth and trust.
"Thank you, Medea. Is there anything you need me to help with? If there is, please be sure to tell me."
Iori said gratefully. The Heroic Spirits in the Hall of Heroes had helped him a great deal, but they had never asked him to do anything in return.
Iori wanted to do something for them.
Medea〔Lily〕paused, then said happily, "If you can, please collect some recipes unique to other worlds for me. Dessert recipes would be even better."
"Sweet treats are a symbol of friendship. Most people stop feeling angry or sad once they've eaten some."
"It would be my pleasure, my lady."
Uchiha Iori performed a rather unpolished European bow, making Medea giggle.
After hesitating for a moment, Iori asked:
"Miss Medea, I heard you have all the memories of your life. How do you feel about what happened to you later on?"
He had once thought about his relationship with his previous life, but found it meaningless. Philosophical musings had been no help at all with his situation at the time.
Medea〔Lily〕thought for a moment, a complicated emotion flickering in her eyes.
"Hmm, it's like watching a play. I know it was my life, and I understand that it's my future, but it doesn't feel real at all."
"To be honest, I can't imagine that I'll become such a terrifying woman."
A trace of sadness crept into her voice. The young girl feared the person she would become, and feared her own future.
Iori had no answer to that question. The past of a Heroic Spirit was already set in stone.
After a long silence, Iori said to Medea:
"If one day I can bring people out of the Hall of Heroes, I hope you'll become my companion."
Medea〔Lily〕smiled, hope shining in her eyes. "I look forward to that day."
Iori said goodbye to the other Heroic Spirits in the Hall of Heroes, then hurried off to treat his teacher.
Medea〔Lily〕watched him leave and sank into her memories.
Back in the present, Iori began recalling the details of the Noble Phantasm.
Pain Breaker Rank: C Type: Anti-Magecraft Noble Phantasm Pain Breaker. A healing Noble Phantasm that contrasts with Rule Breaker, used by Medea in her Caster form. It can completely undo damage caused by all curses and Magecraft. Pain Breaker does not manipulate time. Instead, it calculates the original state and automatically repairs the damage. To those who do not understand its secrets, it may seem a bit like turning back time. It can undo all sorts of unnatural conditions except "death," but it cannot bring the dead back to life. Its incantation is: "I hope... there can be a world where no one hurts others, and no one is hurt by others... 'Pain Breaker'!"
[What a gentle girl. How could she become like that in the future?]
Iori thought of her future fate, and his hatred of the Greek gods grew a little stronger.

After thinking it over, Uchiha Iori decided to attribute his Projection Magecraft ability to an Uchiha Clan ancestor.
He described the Noble Phantasm as a spiritual tool, similar to the Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror. After all, if Itachi Uchiha could have spiritual tools, why couldn't he?

Looking at the crowd closing in and the anticipation in their eyes, Uchiha Iori felt even more nervous.

A warm glow spread from the staff, falling across the wounds of Gekko Nobuhiko and the others. Their injuries healed rapidly in the light.
The surrounding ninja stared in astonishment, their eyes full of admiration.
"That's amazing. It works even better than the Mystical Palm Technique. Maybe only Lady Tsunade could do this."
Rin Nohara exclaimed. In her eyes, this healing was every bit as effective as that of the legendary medical master, Tsunade.
"It's nothing compared to Lady Tsunade."
Iori answered modestly. He realized that the healing effect and the energy it consumed depended on the patient's injuries and his own knowledge.
For minor wounds and external injuries he knew how to treat, healing was fast and cost little. But internal injuries he didn't know how to treat took much longer and consumed a lot more energy.
[Looks like I'll need to learn some medical knowledge as well.] Uchiha Iori sighed, reflecting to himself.
