Uchiha Iori persisted in his battle against Alexander the Great, aiming to experience the sensation of a Servant summoning from the perspective of an observer.
He successfully gained some insights and felt confident he could partially reconstruct the ritual for summoning Servants.
He mused that if he could pull down legendary ministers like Zhuge Liang, Zhang Juzheng, or Shang Yang to work for him, his grand ambition of unifying the Ninja World would be as easy as turning over his hand.
Although he had yet to see any ancient Chinese heroes in the Hall of Heroes, one must always have dreams.
Imagining himself as a hands-off emperor with these titans working for him, Iori stepped forward toward his final destination.
"Mongrel, with this aura, you must be the rat that has been spying on us all this time," Gilgamesh said arrogantly. He sat on his throne, a wine glass in one hand, his eyes filled with contempt.
"Heh, two-thirds god and one-third human—aren't you the mongrel yourself?" Iori did not indulge him; Gilgamesh was powerful, but that was none of his concern.
Hearing this, Gilgamesh's eyes widened, his face turning livid. "Very well. You have quite the nerve. Since you dare to provoke this King so, then go to your death."
Enraged, Gilgamesh drew the key to his treasury, Bab-ilu, and unleashed its full power.
In an instant, countless golden ripples emerged from the air, and a rain of Noble Phantasms descended.
[Analysis initiated, material composition identified.]
Activating his Sharingan, Iori projected Gan Jiang and Mo Ye, feigning a desperate struggle as he continuously parried the incoming onslaught.
Watching his own weapon library grow, he suppressed a smile and maintained a grave expression while defending.
Seeing Iori's clumsy, stumbling defense, Gilgamesh laughed heartily: "That is the fate of a mongrel."
After pouring in more magical energy, even more golden ripples appeared in the sky. "Die! You may feel proud to perish at the hands of this King, you clown."
One minute, five minutes, ten minutes—Iori maintained his precarious defensive posture, yet never allowed a single weapon to strike him.
Sensing something was wrong, Gilgamesh angrily crushed his wine glass. "Mongrel, though I know not what you are plotting, you have truly angered me!"
"Enkidu!" Countless chains shot out from the golden ripples, attempting to bind Iori.
"Let's test the second effect of my ocular technique today: Majestic Attire: Susanoo, Armor Form." Pitch-black flames ignited around Iori.
A moment later, as the flames died down, a black Asura appeared before Gilgamesh, clad in vicious armor with a terrifying demon mask. Its six arms moved with blinding speed, parrying the chains like a curtain of water.
Iori adapted to his current state; as a Servant, he no longer worried about the strain on his ocular power, unleashing the full might of his Mangekyo.
Both in strength and speed, he now far surpassed his previous limits, and the advantage of six arms allowed his swordsmanship to be displayed to its fullest extent.
"You've had your fun, Gilgamesh. Now it is my turn to attack." Iori sneered and began his charge.
He didn't even bother with Noble Phantasms below A-rank, only using his blades to deflect those of A-rank or higher.
Facing Iori's charge, Gilgamesh did not retreat, merely wearing an annoyed expression as he drew two swords from his treasury to engage Iori in combat.
Unexpectedly, although Gilgamesh's swordsmanship was inferior to Iori's, it was undeniably powerful. Combined with the weapons and shields fired from the Gate of Babylon, Gilgamesh did not fall behind.
"Truly impressive. I never expected you to hold your own in melee combat for so long. You are worthy of being the legendary King of Heroes."
Though Iori disliked Gilgamesh's personality, he acknowledged his strength.
"Hmph, I must admit, you are no ordinary trash. If I do not use my ultimate treasure, I may not be able to defeat you. Then, I shall grant you the honor of witnessing my greatest treasure."
Gilgamesh formed circles of golden ripples on the ground, forcing Iori back with a continuous barrage of A-rank Noble Phantasms.
His expression turned cold and solemn as he reached out to the side, a golden ripple appearing above his hand.
A sword of peculiar design slowly descended from it.
It should perhaps not be called a sword; it consisted of three rotating cylindrical blades, existing before the very concept of a sword had been forged.
It originated from the clay tablets that created the world in Mesopotamian and Babylonian mythology.
"I shall send you to your grave with this King's ultimate treasure. Be proud of it!" Gilgamesh declared loudly.
Iori ceased his movements after being forced back; he had not killed Gilgamesh quickly precisely because he was waiting for him to draw Ea.
As Ea appeared, an uncontrollable smile broke out on Iori's face beneath the mask of his Susanoo.
"Since this is the final battle, taste my strongest strike after burning everything away."
"Trace on. Come forth, my Ea." Following Iori's words, the same Noble Phantasm appeared in his hand.
Although it was inferior in power to the original, Iori had burned his own spirit origin, making its destructive force comparable to the original.
"You damned thief, you wretched fake!" Seeing his ultimate treasure in the hands of another, Gilgamesh's face turned red with rage, as if his wife had been stolen.
"So this is what you were plotting? Turn to ash for this!" He raised the sword toward the sky, the blades rotating alternately as a violent gale tore through heaven and earth.
The terrifying magical energy distorted the appearance of the world, pulling both of them into the inner side of reality.
Iori did not show weakness. "Then let us see whose power is greater."
Both sides chanted simultaneously: "Speak of the origin, heaven and earth separate, opening the void, the one who cleaves the world is my Ea."
"Vortex of the dancing stars, the hell of the heavens is the end of the eve of creation. Let your death settle all things: Enuma Elish!"
Both swords swung down simultaneously, and magical energy, like a violent torrent, tore the world asunder.
The collision of power emitted a deafening roar, as if heaven and earth had returned to the unformed chaos.
Gales raged, the sky and earth were cleaved, and the world was reborn in the void.
Boom!
After losing his Master and engaging in a fierce battle with the King of Conquerors, Iori fell into a disadvantage regarding magical energy, even with the mana replenishment provided by Command Spells.
When the storm finally subsided, both sides stood once again upon the earth.
One of Gilgamesh's arms had already vanished, and the armor on his body was shattered across the ground, yet his posture remained as upright as ever.
Iori's Susanoo had been pulverized; although there were few visible wounds on his body, he had burned through his own essence and no longer possessed the strength to exist.
"Faker, state your name. You have earned the right to be remembered by this King." Gilgamesh retrieved a potion from his treasury and drank it; as the medicine took effect, his injuries healed rapidly.
"Uchiha Iori. Then, until we meet again, King of Heroes." Iori replied calmly. As his voice faded, his figure turned into particles of light and dissipated into the air.
Gilgamesh watched the light particles vanish and said, "I have remembered you, Uchiha Iori." He then turned and headed toward the final location, waiting for the birth of the Holy Grail.
"Sakura, what kind of magecraft do you wish to learn?" the head of the Edelfelt House asked.
"Spiritron Divination. I wish to recreate the Heroic Spirit summoning ritual; there is someone I desire to see once more," Sakura Edelfelt answered firmly.
She gripped the Holy Shroud in her hand, her eyes filled with determination and longing.
[A dawn without you is meaningless to me.]
Enkidu
It takes the form of silver chains with wedges of different shapes attached to both ends.
Its true name is Enkidu. It is the chain that once bound the Bull of Heaven, which had plunged Uruk into seven years of famine.
Its ability is that of a "Law of the Gods." It is a Noble Phantasm that increases in hardness the higher the divinity of the target, making it one of the few anti-divine armaments in existence.
Conversely, for a Servant without divinity, it is merely a sturdy chain.
