The nighttime outing was over, but for several days, Professor McGonagall still hadn't given them their detention.
Those days had clearly been miserable for Harry and the others, especially Harry. As the Savior, he had actually led Gryffindor to lose a hundred and fifty points. It had been an unprovoked, pointless nighttime outing, too. If they'd gone and beaten up Malfoy and lost points for it, the Little Lions wouldn't have been quite so angry.

"Don't say it, Neville." Hermione hurriedly stopped him, making sure he didn't say it aloud. It was something that could get her and Harry expelled.
Neville clearly realized that, too, and immediately covered his mouth. Just then, they saw Malfoy sitting at the Slytherin table, basking in the attention of everyone around him.
Malfoy had only lost twenty points that night, while Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had each lost thirty by a strange twist of fate. Gryffindor had lost a full hundred and fifty. It was fantastic news for Slytherin, and no one was still blaming Malfoy for his mistake during their Quidditch defeat.
