A New Stage for the Magic Workshop

Night had already deepened, but Sophia was still occupying the Training Array. Before she found that collection of timbre arrays, she had still thought her lord was indulging in wild flights of fancy, but now that there was a ready-made tool, everything could be realized.

"Sophia? What are you doing?" Tania noticed that Sophia had her head buried in research and came over to take a look.

"Mentor Tania?" After being interrupted, Sophia grew a little irritable. "My Lord Landen wants to make a kind of magical instrument, but I think the method can be made simpler."

Sophia told the Great Fairy everything that had happened that afternoon. She had spent the entire afternoon studying that collection of arrays on her own, and had even taken apart a xylophone, carefully studying the sound-producing principles of the keys and wooden mallets, but had gained little from it.

"No wonder Landen asked me before dinner to look for any arrays used for recording sound. So it was to record dance music." The Royal Palace did indeed have a dedicated Music Room, and the arrays inside were extremely complete. There were arrays for recording sound, arrays for playing Magic Crystals, and even quite a few storage Magic Crystals that had already been recorded.

"But I don't think you've thought this through. The vibration spells commonly used are meant to amplify sound, which is to say, to increase the amplitude of the vibration. But what you're pursuing now is changing and adjusting sound, and that means changing the frequency of the vibration." Tania did not understand music all that well, but she felt there was something wrong with Sophia's direction. "And you and Landen are a little too dependent on the Exquisite Orb right now. The advantage
