New Orders
On the morning of August 32, in No. 2 Furnace Hall of the Imperial Capital's Salt and Iron Department, Wendy and Gleia Blue Dragon had just arrived, ready to concentrate on inscribing Magic Patterns onto four Magic Furnaces. High-Level Rune Master Luo Jin Iron-Brim and prospector Noli Brophy stood beside the two girls.
The two high-level Dwarves had different duties. Luo Jin Iron-Brim was responsible only for coordinating the Magic Furnace production plans with the girls, while Noli Brophy had been specifically assigned by Sherman to teach Landen's subordinates—such as Imkavi Copper-Nail, Soyaku, and Kuryagan—Dwarven rune knowledge.
"Imkavi truly has the makings of a fine Rune Master. Though he hasn't had the chance to study advanced runes all these years, he's never stopped exploring on his own. He's still young; becoming a High-Level Rune Master in the future isn't out of the question." Noli Brophy spoke highly of several of Landen's Dwarf subordinates.
"And that Kuryagan—even though his Dwarf Bloodline is rather thin, by a twist of fate, his sense for magic is passable. Forget rune studies; we'll teach him some mechanical knowledge instead. Who knows, he might become a high-level alchemist or an artifact master."
Gleia nodded. "That's wonderful. Thank you for all your hard work."
"It's nothing. We're all Dwarves wandering beyond the Mountain Fortress—I'm happy that a human Lord is willing to nurture our kin!" Once Noli got started, his words poured forth like a rushing river, and the High-Level Rune Master Luo Jin beside him frowned slightly as he listened.
"Noli, Imkavi hasn't even reached the advanced level yet. There's no need to come here and say all this now," Luo Jin said. "Gleia and Mage Wendy have limited time. It would be best to inscribe the Magic Patterns as soon as possible."
