"This..." Yalanzhuo, the older Merfolk Temple of Waves Master, stared wide-eyed.
"This is absolutely impossible... Every mature host body is forged from the soul and flesh of a Merfolk Master. You cannot possibly..."
The Temple of Waves Master felt as though her brain were about to explode. In truth, she had long known that Sea Monster eggs were inside her body. She also knew that after her death, a special jellyfish would grow from her flesh and become a vessel for cultivating magic algae.
In the divine oracle left behind by the Sea God, this was the closest bond between the Merfolk, the Sea God Descendants, and magic algae: the strength of the Merfolk came from the flourishing of magic algae; magic algae had to be cultivated within the bodies of special Sea God Descendants; and these Sea God Descendants were reforged from the souls and flesh of the Merfolk race.
Yet today, within an underground Ruins in the inland, she had seen dozens—perhaps hundreds—of magic algae growing inside Sea God Descendants. Unless the Human Race had already stormed the Temple of Waves and slaughtered dozens of High-Rank Merfolk, then the Human Race had mastered the Sea God's secret to cultivating magic algae.
Or perhaps the Human Race had already touched upon the Sea God's authority. If the magic algae upon which the Merfolk and Sea Monsters depended were no longer held in the Sea God's grasp, then control over the ocean's races would also slip from His hands.
