In Dragon Tooth City, apart from a few residential districts belonging to the nobility, the rest of the streets were narrow and cramped.
Still shaken by the tiger, Benniz soon turned into a narrow lane called Feather Alley. From there, he could take two streets and pass through a circular plaza to reach the Wyvern Family's Chamber of Commerce.
At the end of the street, he could already see the lights in the plaza. As he drew closer to the street entrance, the glow grew larger and brighter, gradually revealing its true form.
"Good evening, Mentor Benniz!"
As the Archmage emerged from the street, he saw a tall Knight sitting astride a massive Black-Scaled Horse. The Knight called him by name, a faint smile on his face.
"May I ask who you are?" Benniz had an idea, but still hoped he was wrong.
"Landen Gallop, Duke of Night-Kirin City." Landen patted the horse's shoulder, prompting Blaze to withdraw his Magic Pattern. Then he jumped down and walked up to Benniz.
"I'd like to ask you about someone. Do you know Mesudi Wyvern?"
It was over. Benniz felt as if someone had dumped a basin of cold water over him. Mesudi was his youngest daughter, and she had attended the Blue Dragon School a few years ago.
In Mesudi's second year at the school, an Archmage from the Tower of Purity in the Imperial Capital came to recruit students. After that, the Wyvern Family had gone to great lengths to secure Mesudi a place at the Tower of Purity, where she could study magic under the Grand Archmage Teferi Klein.
To get her that opportunity, they had worked tirelessly to make several students who supposedly had better chances disappear from the school. Some transferred to the Wyvern Family's Wyvern Nest Academy;
