On December 20, a group of Intermediate Knights followed Jiling to the nearest Post Station territory east of Night-Kirin City: East 1 Post Station. At the beginning of the year, Landen had met Jim, now an Auxiliary Army officer, there.
East 1 Post Station had changed tremendously since the beginning of the year. The Watchtower that had once stood there was now the central tower of a hexagonal plot. Two rings of hexagonal plots surrounded it, with eighteen plots in total.
These plots were identical to the Honeycomb Plots at Gallop Academy. At the center of each plot, on the cornerstones of the walls, stood a magic power-conduction tower. The ten-meter-high walls also bore Life School Magic Patterns.
The plots were now filled with Life School Magic Plants, and at the very center grew a Mid-Rank Mandrake.
Jiling led the Knights along the patrol walkway atop the walls, explaining as they went the policies Landen had laid out for developing their territories.
"Knights, Duke Landen has prepared a territory like this for every landed Baron. The plots you see here, along with the castles and docks outside, are all part of the package. In addition, His Lordship has given each family a boiler, a Windmill, and a Blacksmith Shop."

The Knights' cheers rose like a great wave. They all knew that castles and boilers alike were valuable commodities that money alone couldn't buy.
They had just toured the castle in this Barony. Landen had prepared not only the building itself, but also basic furniture, various Magic Pattern Plates, Alchemy Tools, and even an Alchemy music box. Insert a red crystal, and it would play the Barbarians singing "Our Dad" in chorus.
