Before Cerebrate Alpha could make a sound, the Royal Guard behind it speared it into the green pool filled with Primal Pool catalyst. The bubbling green liquid resembled demon blood, brimming with terrifying power.
This time, the commotion was not as dramatic. The bloated cerebrate sank straight to the bottom, only floating back up after a while.
The muddleheaded bug must have believed in utter despair that it was dead. It lay quietly on the surface, drifting with the current like a pale, bloated corpse. But the moment it suddenly realized it was completely fine, it immediately sprang back to life at full health.
The cerebrate flexed its limbs a few times and actually began swimming around inside. Though its swimming style was scarcely any better than a cabbage worm struggling desperately after falling into water, it kicked up great splashes without getting very far.
"It's got quite the big heart," Tychus remarked.
"You can say that again." Augustus thought that this was a cerebrate capable of living contentedly as a shut-in in the human world. How could it not have a big heart?
"Could it be that the catalyst has no effect on Zerg?" Yaco stood on Augustus's other side, his brows tightly furrowed.
"How does it feel?" Augustus asked the cerebrate swimming back and forth in the pool.
"Nothing special." Anyone could hear the contempt and disdain in the cerebrate's telepathic words. It was the sort with a broad mind and bloated body—quick to forget pain once the wound had healed, bullying the weak and fearing the strong, capable of every evil. Even Augustus only kept it like a husky.
"I feel so good I could piss in here. Is that all?"
"Hmm." Augustus pondered for a moment. "Dr. Stetmann, could the catalyst have been diluted too much?"
