The Beautiful New World

In synchronous orbit over Ketill IV, a massive fleet was assembling. New Imperial warships periodically jumped out of hyperspace lanes and joined the majestic layers of ships. Smaller escort vessels darted at high speed among the imposing battlecruisers, creating a spectacular sight.

The emblem of three interlinked, stacked rings on the towering prows of these warships identified them as belonging to the Terran Empire's Moebius Corps. Their black-and-red paint schemes set them distinctly apart from other Imperial fleets. The Moebius rings symbolized the endless pursuit of knowledge, while black and red represented steel and blood.

Even among the Terran Empire's military forces, the Moebius Corps had always remained little known. Every Moebius battlecruiser had been built in undisclosed Imperial shipyards, using construction methods distinct from those of other warships. Most notably, every Moebius vessel employed the more efficient Moebius reactor technology.

As time passed, more and more Moebius warships gathered in orbit over Ketill IV. There were twelve fully staffed naval squadrons alone, while their attached escort, support, and supply vessels numbered over a thousand—and were still increasing.

Among them, the Imperial flagship White Star stood out in particular, its forest of cannons radiating authority and its awe-inspiring silhouette impossible to miss.

It was a flagship-grade Gorgon-class Battlecruiser, an Imperial capital ship. Known Gorgon-class Battlecruisers were larger than every previous class of warship, but White Star surpassed all other Gorgons in both size and firepower.

White Star was the pride of the Terran Empire Navy in this era. Its heavy armor, far superior to that of ships in its class, and its powerful shield field allowed it to disregard most forms of enemy attack. The ship's cannons and main guns were undoubtedly the largest and most magnificent artillery pieces ever built.

As a new class of Imperial flagship, White Star
