"This day had finally come."
The Void Seeker, gleaming emerald green from end to end, descended as lightly as a falling frozen leaf. Dark Prelate Zeratul gently adjusted the crystal nodes that obeyed his mental commands, and a holographic image reflecting the infinite starscape materialized upon the spotless transparent screen.
Guided by Zeratul's all-seeing will, the holographic image continued to expand, crossing the vast Sea of Stars and the sun, moon, and stars, passing over Chasiton's rivers and mountains before arriving at a mighty city nestled among the peaks.
Mountain after mountain rose here, covered in forests and shrubs. Towering trees hundreds of feet tall held up a canopy that seemed to touch the heavens.
At that moment, however, those lush, thriving plants were being set ablaze by tracer rounds, incendiary bombs, and laser weapons. They burned fiercely amid orange-red flames, while ashes, wrecked war machines, and the remains of the dead lay everywhere.
The giant trees struggling their last amid the flames reminded Zeratul of the Alavash blooming among Aiur's joyous trees. The Firstborn used the flower's nectar to strengthen their connection to the Khala. Yet those abundant animal and plant communities had now withered away, just like their homeland on the verge of shattering.
"The final war has arrived. All life in the universe is counting on our victory."
Below the Void Seeker, vast hordes of Infested Terrans surged across the burning forest. The Imperial Army's long-range rockets and laser weapons screamed overhead like red-hot swords, while the thunderous roar of exploding shells rolled across the earth.
Countless mutated creatures crashed against the Terrans' crumbling battlements like rising and falling tides. The bravest human soldiers Zeratul had ever seen answered with unwavering volleys of gunfire. Hundreds and thousands of cannons flashed simultaneously, their scorching shrapnel and explosive shockwaves
