In Sigel's view, the probability of an accident on B5 Level was far greater than that of a Zerg invasion.

Sigel had never had close contact with the Zerg, and due to his rank, he was not qualified to view certain classified materials. However, in his opinion, having multiple monitoring zones and several Engineering Robots lose contact simultaneously without leaving behind any information was too clean and efficient, even for the Zerg.

Therefore, he did not believe this was the work of the Zerg. There were other possibilities that could cause the situation on B5 Level, and he could think of one immediately: if a high-magnetic device malfunctioned and leaked energy, it could very well emit an electromagnetic pulse in a small area, creating an effect similar to an EMP.

Although the exterior of their race's warships had EMP-resistant coatings and other defensive measures, those monitoring devices and the simplest Engineering Robots clearly lacked such protection.

He happened to know that a high-magnetic instrument in that area had malfunctioned previously. He had discovered this while browsing the area logs earlier, but he hadn't said anything; the truth only revealed its value if it was announced at the very end.

Besides, those instruments were not under his management. Although that particular instrument had malfunctioned before, it hadn't leaked energy. In his view, this must have been caused by the crew member in charge of them handling it improperly.

He knew exactly which crew member was responsible for the instrument. Although that person was also just a low-level crew member, they had been in service for a long time—at least several times longer than him—and was very sociable, with a large circle of friends and supporters. If he spoke up about this prematurely, he would likely invite unnecessary trouble.

Since that was
