"Damn it!" An Epoch Clan soldier had just dodged an Electromagnetic Cannon shot. Though the shell that streaked past not far from him had not hit him, the fierce pressure wave it kicked up threw their formation into chaos.

Several flying cannon bugs seized the opportunity and unleashed a concentrated barrage through the defensive gaps exposed by the disorder. Several Epoch Clan soldiers were hit, and he was one of them.

Although his protective suit had reduced most of the impact from the Mach 10 venom pellets, blood still seeped from the corner of his mouth. Worse still, the main body of his gun had been struck by a venom pellet.

The Epoch Clan's individual weapons were extremely powerful. By equipping different components, they could unleash a wide variety of attacks. But all of that depended on one prerequisite: the weapon's main body had to remain intact.

Though the weapon's main body was made of synthetic materials and looked both lightweight and sturdy, its complex design and functions meant that it contained a great many precision parts. In reality, its defenses were not even as strong as the seemingly soft protective suit.

Thus, when his weapon was struck by the venom pellet, setting aside the subsequent corrosive damage, the sheer force of the impact alone had destroyed it.

Still, he was considered lucky. Though his weapon had been destroyed and several spots on his body were smoking from corrosion, two of his companions had been pierced through their armor by multiple venom pellets and fallen from the sky on the spot.
