A Boar Behemoth appeared directly in front of the pursuing squad and fired an Electromagnetic Cannon round at point-blank range. In such an almost enclosed environment, just how terrifying was a solid shell traveling at over ten times the speed of sound? One only had to look at what happened to the pursuing squad.

Although they had detected the Electromagnetic Cannon's energy-gathering state in advance and fired wildly ahead, hoping that in such a narrow space they might get lucky and intercept the shell.

But perhaps their luck was not good enough, or perhaps the distance was simply too short. The instant the Electromagnetic Cannon round left the barrel, it had already reached the pursuing squad, passing through the leading K2N9 before striking the second K2N9 more than fifty meters behind it.

The sturdy K2N9 successfully intercepted the shell, but it was also blasted into the air and torn apart by the enormous impact. Shattered shell fragments and K2N9 debris sprayed in every direction. Several Epoch Clan soldiers nearby were riddled with holes before they could even react. Their heavily armored combat suits seemed to have been of no use at all.

Only then did the rolling sonic boom arrive, collapsing every section of tunnel along its path. The forward unit that had avoided the Electromagnetic Cannon round's direct attack was not only battered by the hurricane-force gusts and sonic boom generated by the shell's passage, but was buried alive a few seconds later. Though they were slightly better off than the second team and had not died on the spot, their fate would not be much better without rescue.

The collapsed tunnel stretched for nearly a kilometer. This team simply had no ability to continue the pursuit. They could only report the situation and begin rescuing their comrades.
